As someone who doesn’t shoot anamorphic this was a great way to have a play and keep the glass I already have

Pretty good. Makes your lens very front heavy though, so be aware.

I was really looking forward trying this adapter as it's supposed to allow you to turn a normal lens into an anamorphic (albeit only 1.25x squeeze); alternatively you can expand the squeeze of an existing anamorphic lens, such as my 50mm 1.6x into a 2x.𝗦𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲:1) Screw it into a lens (using one of the included adapters if the lens isn't 82mm).2) Hold the red button on the adapter and slowly rotate it clockwise (use a torch to get the lens flair horizontal for easy calibration).3) If the adapter is on a manual lens, make sure the lens it's attached to is set to infinity, if you're using a AF lens, switch it over to MF and once again make sure it's set to inf.4) From here, use the adapter to focus.I mainly got this to upgrade my SIRUI 50mm 1.6x Anamorphic lens but not only did it give my photos/video a horrific vignette, it's incredibly hard to focus and the quality output wasn't favourable at all.Maybe there are other lenses it works better with but for me, I couldn't get on with it with the gear I had.
