I cut my own hair and always make do with something cheap and cheerful, often the scissors that come with hubby's elrctric hair trimmers.My 3 dogs have thick wire coats and for them I have been known to spend almost £200 on a pair of professional grooming scissors in the hope they will cope.In all honesty I have to say I like using these better than my expensive ones;I can adjust the tightness of the blades and they stay where I set them, unlike the expensive ones that constantly loosen up again.They cut really neatly. I have fine hair that tends to run away from scissor blades unless they are really sharp, I'm not seeing that problem with these.On the not so good side, but only for me, the finger/thumb holes are quite small but still workable and they have proper hairdresser handles with the finger rest sticking out. I am SO cack handed I tend to find those a touch trickier to use but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. To balance that I am ambidexterous (yep, I can use both hands just as badly!) and these feel and perform the same both left and right handed.Love the nice case that came with it and they arrived very quickly indeed. Best scissors I ever had for myself!
