Missing peices
I'm alittle disappointed, my son bought this with his birthday money and he's been so exited to get it. It cane today and as we were putting it together the instructions are almost impossible to follow and we are missing peices! There were definitely supposed to be 3 marbles and we only have one and a half. Boo.

Not for pre schoolers
It’s cute, and when stays together alright. But it barely stays locked in place. You will spend more time putting it back together then using it. Disappointed

Great quality
I'm honestly surprised by the quality of these pieces. If you mixed them in with medium-sized LEGOS (not tiny and not mega), I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. They connect really well together. My set came with an extra block, which I'm sure was a mistake but not a bad thing in my book! My husband and I bought this for our 3.5 year-old nephew for Christmas and I'm glad we put it together beforehand. The other reviews aren't exaggerating on the time it takes to build this and the need for adult/older kid's ability to read directions. The directions are in picture form. I'm a visual learner and didn't have too much trouble (NOTHING like IKEA!), but I did have to look ahead twice to ensure I was putting the pieces in the right places. If you follow the 13 pictured steps to make the build pictured on the box, plan to spend at least 45 minutes as an adult. The pieces that attach to the base are difficult to disconnect, so that might be a little bit of a struggle for younger hands. I do appreciate that they have a variety of different shapes to create your own structure/play. The only (literally ONLY) thing that gave this a 4-star rating instead of 5 was one of the base pieces had a defect (pictured). The position of this defect luckily had no negative effect overall, but I can't give something 5 stars when there's any kind of defect. Other than that, this is a really great building set for kids! I'm not ashamed to say I spent half an hour myself just rolling the plastic "marbles" down the ramps and watching them spin around the funnel pieces.

Ignore the instructions
This "Could" be one of the most fantastic toys for toddlers even if it wasn't for a few problems.First of all the instructions are a train wreck. Trying to figure out how to follow them took me a 46-year-old seasoned "Lego Master Builder" 3 hours to figure out. The Instructions are not well thought out and are extremely difficult to follow. Many steps are very confusing, and it took me, a seasoned Block builder, nearly 3 hours to put them together. So when you get this cool toy, DO NOT TRY TO MAKE THE Design One on the box. You will end up more frustrated in the unstable complex build that you'll be questioning why you bought the damn thing in the first place. Losing sight of the great toy, because the instructions were created by a person that clearly has never written instructions before. This brings me to the next problem with this toy. One of the problems this toy has is that while being a construction toy, designed to "build" simple to create Marble tracks, which it does do well. However, the choice of base pieces, that it uses to build its "foundation" blocks, are only 1x2 and 2x2 blocks. These blocks are not very stable and in many cases (such as when building the Sample Marble run), oftentimes fall apart very easily because the pieces are expected to join together like bricks and sustain a lot of weight or strain. While 1x2 and 2x2 pieces are useful for creating pylons, they don't do when that Pylon is expected to stay centered when it's off-weighted with a heavier structure. What this set really needs for many of its builds and piece placement, is 2x4 blocks found in many other competitive lines like "Duplo". Having 1x4, 2x4, and even 2x6 or 2x8 pieces, allows the build to have better structural integrity, especially for some of the "Turn pieces". Using only 1x2 and 2x2 pieces makes things VERY unstable. For a toy targeting 4 and 5-year-old kids, this is a poor choice of components.Lastly; the other annoyance with this toy is that NOWHERE in the instructions does it show that the "Balls" on the box come in semi-half spheres that you have to put together. Nor are the colors really consistent. In my box, I got 2 halves of a yellow, red, and then strangely half a Yellow, and half a red sphere. The box shows Green, Blue, and Yellow. Which Ok, obviously colors will vary, but come on, a half-and-half color? Quality check much? But aside from all of that, this IS a great toy. Just needs a lot of things to make it better! If you can look past these annoyances, your kids will love it. Just be ready for them to get annoyed with the pieces it comes with not always holding up because of a design flaw. But when you mix it with other sets and other similar toys? This set is a wonderful beginning toy to teach young kids about physics and the fun of marble creations.

Hard to assemble
This is so very difficult to put together. A small child could not do it. As an adult it is difficult to put together. It has pictures for directions which is hard to follow. Many breaks are I needed and be very organized so you don’t get frustrated. I have had to walk away several times. The marbles are plastic halves that you have to put together too. Once together it does seem somewhat sturdy. That said…my son loves to play with it. I just keep hoping he won’t take it apart so I have to put it together again.

Not meant for young kids.
My kid loves this but was not able to build this himself. The instructions were confusing. It can be unstable and cause the marble not to roll properly at times.
