This works well, no leakage now and it's fairly easy to install but I'll leave a couple "plumbing" tips where I failed and almost had to return. This was my first time doing a job like this so all I had was a picture and a couple videos.My drain is 1 1/2 inches and goes straight into the wall, so I had to use those clear hose seals that come in the package, otherwise you'll have leaks from the wall. That was my first error.The second error was that I didn't first make sure that the drain down the wall was clear. Before you start, run a snake down real quick to make sure there aren't any clogs further down the drain. I had a pretty big hairball and the water pressure from the lack of draining was pushing back against the drain hose and leaking.As long as all the seals are in place, it won't leak at all. It works as it should, only a little tricky in a couple places, like where the clear part of the drain attaches to the black sink drain attachment under the sink, there are grooves where you push it into place rather than screwing it on. The rest of it you screw together, so it took me a minute to realize why it wasn't "screwing on straight".Other than that, it's very basic. Very simple and anyone can do it. Even a single lady. You shouldn't need any plumber's tape or seal or anything unless you're missing one of the seals.

Easy to install and adjust. Not the best quality but it worked. We will see how long it will last.

Where is the flexible adapter for the drain shown at 26secs in the video?? I decided to purchase this model based on the video on this page showing the installation and at about the 26 second mark, it shows a flexible, black rubber insert being placed into the drain pipe to reduce the internal diameter so that the drain kit could fit snugly. There is nothing included in the two boxes that just arrived. These won't work for me without that adapter. In the video, it was clear that the adapter was part of the installation. The end of the drain kit that I received doesn't look like the large, bell-shaped unit shown the vid, either.The kit looks like it might be cool, but I'm dinging it 4 stars because what I received wasn't what was advertised and for the necessity of returning it and finding something else.

installation is not at all secure. Prone to come loose at times dumping water into vanity

The issue with my sink pipes is that they had outdated measurements and the spacing from the wall to the sink downspout was ... unique. It had been leaking for a year in different amounts and when repairing it by myself the closest I got to fixing it before this required 4 adapters.This flexible p-trap replaced all the adapters AND I didn't have to worry about the spacing because it is extendable. No I have no leaks whatsoever.The transparent area is also helpful to see flow rate. 5 stars

I used this with to replace the crappy kit that comes with Ikea sinks and vanities that don't fit the water pipes in Canada since the size of the pipe is same as the water pipe.
