Useful and good value
Easy to use (press on handle to turn on the light). Great value for a basic but useful tool. Careful for kids to not put the tool deep in the ear.

Flimsy
Ok if only for occasional use as very cheap and therefore not robust. No instructions with it and not clear how it is supposed to turn on.

Works well
The first one had a faulty switch and had to be returned. The second one arrived virtually by return and works well. The optics are not brilliant, you would not expect them to be at the price, but it focuses okay and gives a good view of the inside of the ear

Yep.. it does the job.
As many other satisfied customers have said about this little Otoscope, it does it's job.Yes it is extremely cheaply made ie. think of a toy set of binoculars, maybe a bit harsh, but I think about right in fairness & yes it does do the job. That being the important bit.If like me you just need a cheap handy method to look down a loved ones ears to check on the wax situation once in a long while & then carefully put the gizmo back in its cardboard box (taking the batteries out first to stave off trouble) & putting it safely away in a wardrobe away from unwanted attention.. Then this is just fine, no problem, I've no doubt it'll be around for many years to come.I don't think it's designed to be taken out & about & given a regular good using, well not for long anyway. It's about the same size, maybe a bit bigger, than a top-pocket type torch & comes with three extra ears pieces that vary in diameter at the business end to accommodate different sized ear canals. It uses a basic led bulb, which is just about bright enough, & two AAA batteries that come with it. An upgrade with really decent batteries is worth doing straight away. The magnifying lens is just about up to task, again I think of those binoculars maybe.Overall the bottom line is simple, as far as I can make out having searched around & I could be wrong, priced at about £15 I suspect much more money altogether would need to be spent out to get hold of something in a different category.& Of course, what we really want is one from that different category but why spend the money considering they'll both spend 95+% of their time in the wardrobe. At this sort of price level to get something at all that will do a reasonable job is an achievement in itself.. Thank you.

Good value for money
Its a bit basic but it does the job at a very reasonable price. Would fit into virtually any size of ear with its attachments. Lights up the orifice well. recommended

Failing to impress
Not sure how to describe this really. It’s certainly not a professional tool. Very cheaply made. It’s not clear where the batteries are inserted or how it turns on as has no instructions but you eventually figure it out. The scope end falls off quite easily. Couldn’t see much down it but haven’t tried all the scopes yet so maybe another is better. Quite underwhelming.
