Happy for the price, a basic, no-frills Microwave which does exactly what it should do
Does exactly what it should, as it should. No complaints whatsoever, but what can you say about such a device? It's not like it works better or worse than any other microwave, it does exactly the same thing! I suppose the controls could be better, but then I would also suppose I could have gotten better controls if I'd spent more money, so that's not really a point worth debating. I will say it's pretty quiet with a loud enough bell to tell you it's done when you're not in the kitchen. It looks pretty good and it's nice and compact, perfect for smaller kitchems where space is at a premium.Overall, I'm happy with it. It was a decent price and it does exactly what I need it to, which is to say it defrosts and re-heats frozen Chilli cooked a few days before and it heats up soup! The size is perfect and I really don't need anything with a bigger capacity. I dare say I would find much more use for it if I were a little more adventuress, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who doesn't use such a device to it's fullest potential, and who doesn't need an all-singing, all-dancing model. My old Microwave burned out (quite literally, and I'm not kidding there either, it literally burned a hole through the side of the internal wall!) and I needed a replacement, and this fitted the bill prefectly. If you're on the lookout for a budget Microwave but are short on space and don't intend to do a lot with it, this would certainly suit your needs.

Simple To Use for the Gadget Averse
The world of electronic appliances is not set up for the less able in society. Working many new products is beyond a lot of elderly and infirm people and this affects their ability to be independent. My old mum is one of these and became unable to work her digital display, umpteen unnecessary pre-programme options, combi oven. This forced a rethink and the only simple to work option was to buy a separate microwave and an oven. This Daewoo is simplicity itself, it has a manual power setting and a timer and that's it. I was unable to find a microwave with just full power and defrost setting because the Daewoo has a number of largely unnecessary power settings for some reason which confuses things a bit. It's workable however and she's happy with it.With all the current publicity in the UK concerning our increasing ageing population it's about time manufacturers took note and simplified their products to actually help folk rather than 'outclever' one another.

The previous one had better dials and better door opening
I bought this model to replace the previous one, also a Daewoo. The previous one had better dials and better door opening, I found it easier to use, the previous one kept cutting out before it had finished cooking. This model works well, in fact it works so well it's made me realise how poorly my previous model was. I think it's good value for the money.Update at March 2019: some of the numbers have worn off which makes it difficult to set a time.

Great little microwave for everyday use
I bought this simply because it was the cheapest microwave available at the time. It's quite small so doesn't take up much space, yet is still adequately sized for most uses. The manual controls mean it's really easy to operate which could be particularly useful for an older person. The design is clean, modern and unobtrusive and is likely to blend in well in pretty much any kitchen. It could also be an ideal option for use in a caravan, as long as mains hookup is available. It cooks and reheats food well and is easy to clean after use.

Simple and easy to use
Simple and easy to use, this is what I want. It had worked well until last week. I noticed that after heating food with max power for four minutes, the microwave stopped working. I thought it went wrong. After fifteen minutes I tried again and it worked again. What a surprise! However, yesterdaysimilar things happened again. My wife used the microwave to sterilise two dummies for four minutes. Right after that we could not use the microwave. Surprise again! Waiting for about fifteen minutes, the machine returned to work again. What a microwave! I guess the machine can still work, but this is really disturbing to us. Really want a replacement that will work well without asking this kind of short break, otherwise it will drive us mad.

good replacement for father's old microwave
Cheap, good replacement for father's old microwave. Heats your food up - all very simple, nice chunky dials that easily rotate and not too heavy. Only has two stumpy legs though, would've prefered quad feet but has no stability issues whatsoever. Good for a cheap, inexpensive replacement.

Simple but good
This is the best microwave I have had yet, if you don't want a lot of fancy features you never use. Why are so many microwaves black? This white one brightens up the kitchen so much more. And although it says it is 700 watt, it actually seems to have the strength of an 800 watt oven. The controls are simple and easy to operate. One reviewer complained that their microwave doesn't count in seconds – but surely no-one is so busy that they can't stand there and count to 20 seconds or whatever for themselves? (If they are too busy, they need to get a life. A master once said, "Meditate for half an hour every day, if you have time. And if you don't have time, meditate for an hour.")A few months later: but . . . . the numbers rub off round the dial. A friend bought one exactly the same and it happened to hers too. Daewoo replied to her: 'No-one has ever complained about this before', but that's two of us – strange coincidence. In spite of that, though, it really is a good buy!

Great microwave, good value for money
I've actually still got this microwave nearly 4 years later. It still works properly. That shows it is good quality.
