Love it BUT-
This (the 23g) actually is too small for a pet hamster or rat to live comfortably in. This is fine, as I got it for mice (which it is the PERFECT size for a group of mice!), but the problem there is the bars are too widely spaced for mice (looks like probably 1/2 or 5/8in, not 1/4in like mice need). This is fine FOR ME, since I knew that going in and I intend to modify the bars with 1/4 hardware cloth, but I definitely wish there was a choice for smaller bars or grid wiring like the top is made of. I would buy several more and recommend this tank to EVERYONE who buys mice from me, if it just had appropriate mesh where the wire is now. Speaking of, the top mesh I expected to be "screen" but it is metal like an aquarium lid, and pretty sturdy, so that was an awesome bonus! It looks like i'll be able to hang things from the ceiling easily with this. The assembly on this was perfectly simple and intuitive, except mine was missing the center support feet. It assembled in a matter of a few minutes, the only tool you need is included, and the rubber stoppers for aesthetic to cover the screw holes was a cute bonus. They include 2 suction cups and it was a little unclear what FOR until we realized they must be meant as handles. Personally, I will probably trash them and get stick-on handles like for a glass aquarium lid, but the suction cups have the advantage of being removable if you want to switch how the glass door opens.I like that this flat packs, I like that it can come apart completely for cleaning. The fit of the glass panes into the metal parts is a little loose, so there's some rattling when I move the cage, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for the ability to easily take it apart. I have a feeling I will have to disassemble the front of it on a regular basis to clean, since the front door panels don't lift and slide out like they can in other front-opening enclosures, and a single-side opening is fairly small for cleaning. The front opening ability is still a godsend, as I intend to put this on a middle shelf, with shelving above and below it, so it won't have space to open from the top.Overall, love it. Wish I didn't have to mod it, seems like offering a "mesh" plate of the lid material instead of bars would be an easy option to add, but other than that, it's a great mouse cage. Love the dual opening, love the airflow while maintaining bedding depth, love the size.

Great cage, but seriously, terrible instructions.
I had read the reviews that told tales of the instructions, and they were not kidding. It is worse than you expect. But ultimately, the cage's saving grace is that it's pretty easy to put together even with minimal instruction, so it kinda works out. Some things though.-The metal bars came really weirdly bent and uneven, and we had to use pliers to make it set straight. It was a simple enough fix but still tedious.-The lock is just kinda annoying tbh and slightly pointless considering the cage opens from the top with no locking mechanism what-so-ever.-Opening the top is a little bit tricky to figure out, and it also does not swing on a hinge, you just take the entire lid off, which is fine but was admittedly unexpected.Overall though it's actually very sturdy once assembled but it certainly doesn't look like it's going to be while you're building it.Some little pieces of things I found challenging for anybody buying this cage who needs help with the instructions, there's other guides in the comments but the things I found useful:-The instructions do not mention the barred sides at all, it seems to be made for a different model. Those really small metal pieces go *ontop* of the glass parts and the bars slot into that. I initially thought that the bars just loosely hung over the glass and was about to be really concerned with feet getting caught or escapes.-The "base front" glass goes in that back row (closest to the inside of the cage) and the doors go infront of it.-The parts that go at the corners to lift it up / provide support get screwed in after slipping in the rods in step 2. Step 1 kinda implies you just screw them in as is but that doesn't do anything.

Best choice!
I have been researching hamster cages since we brought our little guy home about a month ago. After researching and cleaning his non functional cage weekly I wanted more for him and I. This thing came with super easy setup and it fits a full 12 inch wheel among lots of other things and space to burrow. You won't regret it if you buy your hammie this cage! I think it's going to be a breeze to clean and it's bigger so it doesn't stink at all!

It huge! And more than enough space for a hamster š¹
I love how large this tank is, it's wonderful having a tank with a glass bottom that's easy to clean and fill with lots of bedding. The top part of the tank is helpful because so many hamster toys require the typical cage to screw pieces in. Now I have the opportunity to screw a water bottle, various toys and fit a wheel and hides within the enclosure. I really appreciate that it comes with two keys and that they're attached to a suction that sticks to the front. The openings from the top and front make this extremely convenient. I feel like this will hold up for a very long time. Couldn't be happier.

Extremely hard to assemble
Glass came broken at corner edge and cage was extremely hard to assemble. I do not recommendā¦. I will probably ask for a refund.
