Durable, Reliable, and Safe - A Must Have for Wound Management
As a home health nurse with extensive wound care experience, I’ve worked with many silver calcium alginate dressings—and these Ag Silver Calcium Alginate Wound Dressing Pads stand out for all the right reasons.Unlike many other brands, these pads do not rip or disintegrate easily during application or removal. This is especially critical when managing deep or tunneling wounds, where softer, flimsier alginate dressings tend to tear and leave fibers behind—a dangerous setup for infection. With these, I’ve had zero issues with remnants being left in the wound, making dressing changes safer and more efficient for both patient and provider. The material is soft yet structurally sound, and it conforms well to the wound bed. It’s highly absorbent, controls exudate effectively, and the antimicrobial silver offers added protection against infection. My patients tolerate it well, and I appreciate the confidence it gives me when treating complex wounds. This is now a go-to product in my wound care arsenal, and I highly recommend it to both clinicians and caregivers looking for a dressing that truly holds up to the demands of deep, draining wounds.

Good Product
I had surgery several months ago, then there were problems with wound healing. My surgeon recommended these as an antimicrobial to help with keeping the opening free from germs as the healing process continued. They work well, I am confident in this product.

Nasty wounds not healing until I got this
I had some nasty wounds which were not healing. I used a wash from Amazon and then placed this gauze over it and wrapped with an ace bandage. After two days of cleaning twice a day they are finally looking better and healing up. Silver is a great would healer and this just proved it to me. With out this it was just getting worse and worse. The pain is almost all gone and I am sleeping better knowing that I found something that works. It's expensive though... so glad I have 14 I am sure I wont use them all this time around. Will keep them on hand though for just in case in the future. These do not have any sticky parts so you will need tape or a wrap to keep it on. My only gripe is that the would was scabbing over so quickly overnight that I had to wet it all down well to ease it off the wound part. If you have a stubborn wound which doesn't look like it wants to heal maybe give these a try.

Heals Wounds Almost Overnight!
The in-patient nurses at a local hospital didn't clean or bandage my daugher's open arm wound for the week she was there! It was so infected when I brought her home, the hospital had just started her on oral antibiotics. I used these pads--within a day, the wound had closed. My daughter's home nurse praised me for using this miraculous antibiotic pad, as she had the same experience with using it as I did. However, the instructions say these pads are only for wounds that are exuding. If the wound has closed, one should not use these pads but use the silver gel. (Years ago, after foot surgery, my incision refused to heal, and they considered putting me into the hypobaric chamber. But before they did that, they tried the silver pads, and then just the silver gel--Almost overnight healing! )

Easy to remove
These are the best. I only wish they made them in a 6" x 6" size. I currently have very light leakage of lymphatic fluids in one leg. I use these with a gauze wrap to absorb the fluid (weeping leg). After 24 hours when I try to remove other dressings, they are soggy mush and you almost have to scrape the mush off. These dressing can be fully absorbed and you can still peel them off without them being mushy.
