Great product, well made. Holds the Costco size bag of dog food perfectly and has a seal that I know will keep the food fresh. Was so much cheaper than buying at Petsmart too.

This container is perfect to keep the food for my large dog fresh it seals really well. It holds a very good amount of food and since I have a large dog, it’s nice that the food doesn’t go bad and I can store it for a while and it will be fresh.

Rugged. Air tight. Keeps dog food fresh. Handy scoop. I don't have a bad thing to say about it. Wish it came in an espresso brown color, but color doesn't affect performance. This would be great for storing bulk ingredients like rice, sugar and flour.

I bought something similar before I bought this one because what I had originally bought didn't seem like it could stand up to the test of constant use and time. Turns out this one doesn't look like it will either but I kept it anyway. It's the right size for an 18 pound bag of small dog kibble and it's easy to tuck away where it won't get in the way.The container is thinwalled, not like the one I bought 20 years ago that I use for the cat's food. The lid is interesting. You unscrew it and it seems like it won't unscreww but it actually has but you can't feel that it has. So you keep unscrewing it. Actually, the lid has unscrewed but it's held on tight because of the lid's seal. Screwing the lid back on takes some doing too because the lid doesn't seem to want to line up with the container. However, once you get the lid back on you will have a tight seal to keep the food fresh.Overall, not made like they used to be made 20 years ago but will do for now.

Comparable in pricing. Very durable, lid is very hard to get off & on(the only reason I gave it 4 stars)Maybe over time it will get easier. Easy to clean. This particular one is compact & easily stores out of sight. And best of all, keeps these tiny ants out of the pet food!

I feed the neighborhood feral cats (who have been neutered and vaccinated). Due to all of the other critters that live nearby, the bowl is now in my gated covered entryway (still doesn’t deter the !%*#! birds). I totally freaked out when I picked up the food bowl before going to bed, and found it swarming with tiny ants, and I was bitten 3 times. The plastic food storage container with a hinged snap-down lid had also been invaded! I covered dish and container with food-grade diatomaceous earth, and searched for a solution.I already have the correct bowls, with a tiny moat around the bottom that needs to be filled with water. I had gotten lazy, so needed to go back to deterring ants from the bowl.The storage container was literally a bigger deal, and I didn’t want to throw away 20+ pounds of food, or expose the cats to chemicals. I had seen a similar storage container at a significantly higher price, and didn’t think I needed it.Not only are there ants, but raccoons have banged through the gate at 2AM, trying to steal the cat food. They’re loud enough that they wake me and I chase them away. (They’re also why I no longer leave any food out overnight!) This storage container is sturdy, it seals completely, and no ant or larger animal has breached it!It is also important to mention that I have arthritis in my hands, yet am able to easily open the top to get to the cat food, and to lift the container.This is the perfect choice for me!

I picked up the Mighty Tuff 6 Gallon Pet Food Storage Container for my 1 year old cat Vito's food, and it’s been a great choice overall.Pros:Airtight Lid: Keeps Vito’s food fresh and free from him breaking into a normal bag.Good Capacity: It holds up to 24 pounds of food, which means fewer trips to refill.Cons:Lid Design: The big con is having to screw and unscrew the large lid. It’s not always fast and easy, which can be a bit of a hassle when you’re in a hurry.Overall, this container does its job well and keeps Vito's food fresh. Just be prepared for your write to get a bit of a workout with the lid.
