Beautiful book for oneself, or as a gift, at an incredible price.

I didn’t encounter a true art history book until the old standby Jansen, the history of art. That would have been overwhelming to my grandchildren who love, art, museums, and any art exhibit. This book allows them to explore the world of art in a very meaningful and very readable fashion. I would recommend it for every child, elementary and middle school – maybe even as an entry-level in high school. Every child should have exposure to art and this book is well written and very comprehensive. I have purchased it for all three families of grandchildren.

I personally love arts and music. This encyclopedia is definitely a must have at home if you have children who love art. Since my 7 years old son is a music lover who plays the piano, this book helps him get to know a lot more about the historical background and knowledge about different music periods and composers.For me, I learnt a lot about the different art period and history through reading this art encyclopedia. You wouldn’t feel bored as it has a lot of colorful pictures and illustrations to explain the texts.

UPDATE: Replacement book arrived in 2 days! And was perfect. Great customer service. Beautiful book._----------------After long wait, book arrived damaged. About 10 pages crumpled, folded in. Box says Made to fit your order, heavy duty.Beautiful book, shame it's a gift.
