Nancy Zieman's Sewing A to Z: Your Source for Sewing and Quilting Tips and Techniques

This is such a wonderful sewing book! It is extremely detailed and so much so that Nancy goes through the steps of Vogue techniques that are obviously advanced (a little intimidating, too). Incredible drawings accompany this detailed well-versed instructional book. This should be in every sewing/crafter's studio.

This was a gift for a beginner just learning to sew. The book is arranged well and easy to use. In her quest to learn, it will be priceless.

Very much a beginners book

I was very surprised and pleased to find this book so well written. The instructions and tips are spot-on. I was actually looking for a sewing reference book to recommend to beginner sewists This book is a must read for every newbie and a great resource to add to your personal library.

I got the ebook version!!!!Great book for reference in your sewing room. Some of the numbers mentioned in inches appear as a "?" (Something the publisher should look at) but there's the metric measurement next to it so its not hard to figure out the inches. This is why this ebook got 4 stars. Otherwise....I see myself referring to this book on every project. It has lots of great tips and tricks. Great Buy!

It is a great helpful guide.

This woman knows how to sew and how to communicate her skills with great clarity to any level of learner. I am very pleased with this book. I also bought one for a dear friend as a Christmas gift, b/c she wants to learn to make her own clothes. There are very detailed picture guidelines, as well as written directions that make this a "must have" book if you need specific directions for sewing. There are also very helpful instructions for quilting, which I also do.For me, it's a great reminder for things I've forgotten how to do. Great book!!!!!

Zieman's books are always worth the money. Well written with photos and clear instructions or diagrams to follow. I have more than one of her books. I like this one and it is a reference book in my sewing library as I forget some techniques when I am not doing them over and over. Excellent information for zipper application, pockets etc. It is a culmination of years of sewing and quilting and even though I have been sewing for more years than I want to say- I am still learning and this book is good for that.

really well demonstrated and clearly pictured. things here I never knew and I've been sewing since the 60s! lay flat format is very good.

An excellent book that tells you all you need to sew in easy reading and understanding.

Love every page this book holds. It has become my sewing Bible.
