Best Soba Noodles I’ve Ever Eaten
I found these because I was looking for gluten-free soba noodles. They are absolutely delicious and, being made of buckwheat, healthy. But the thing I love best about these noodles is their texture. I’ve had soba many times in the past, purchased at a grocery store, and typically soba noodles have a somewhat rough texture to the surface of the noodle and are easy to break once cooked. These noodles are silky and also stretchier, more likely to stretch than break, and I just love their mouthfeel. I’ll probably stick with this brand from now on, providing Amazon sells them again.I saw a reviewer complain about the price hikes. Yes, there were price hikes. I bought these for around $30 in July, and a few weeks ago (late September or early October) I saw that they were selling for $40. BUT, to those who complain I say, you should first check out the price of a package of soba near you. It is in my experience not at all uncommon to pay around $9 for an 8 oz. package of 100% buckwheat soba at the grocery store (in fact I just looked at my friendly neighborhood food delivery app and see a popular brand of 100% soba selling at $11 for an 8 oz. package near me). And those are not organic! These King soba noodles are not only 100% buckwheat but also organic. And they are almost 9 oz. at that, not 8. If $30 for six packages was a gift, $40 is still a great deal.My friends, what Amazon giveth, Amazon can taketh away. And they frequently do, if they get enough complaints about a product. So stop whining about price hikes or starting unsubstantiated rumors based almost entirely on the reputation of the country these are made in. Fine, fine, we’ll buy at our own risk, except that now they’re not available to buy. Amazon bring these back!!!

Fantastic Soba Noodles...but be aware of the country of origin, and the huge price increase!
These noodles are great! I really don't understand all of the people saying they are bad. I follow the instructions, exactly as they are given on the package...boil water, put in noodles, reduce heat to medium, cook 6 minutes, stirring (gently) to separate. When done, drain, put in cool water, drain again, and eat your favorite way. We tried longer than 6 minutes, and shorter. Longer than 6, they were over cooked, less than 6, they were under cooked. Cooking them the way I described above, they are pretty much perfect (for my taste anyway.) That is the good news. Some bad news...please be advised that these noodles are Made in China. Prior to COVID, there were Amazon buyers with concerns about buying food items from China, because they are, well, sometimes less than honest about some things. Like about things being ORGANIC. These noodles are sold as being Organic. And now since COVID, there are some people who are MUCH more concerned about ANY dealings with China. Depending on what you believe, you will either buy Chinese products now, or not. I like these noodles enough, that I continue to want to buy them. What bothers me, is that the seller is placing stickers OVER the Made in China printing, on the packages. When I pulled their sticker off, it said Made in China underneath. THAT to me is just plain WRONG.More bad news...I bought an order of these noodles in February, 2020, and another in March. BOTH of these were 24.98, for 6 packages of 3 servings each. I looked recently, and the price on Amazon had jumped to $41!!! WOW!! As of today, it is still almost $37. There is a term, for when the price of things goes ARTIFICIALLY way up, under these kinds of circumstances. I am not going to say it, because this review would probably get blocked. Let's just say, that I am extremely disappointed, that this has been allowed to occur, while the COVID emergency is still raging.So...if you like soba noodles (and who wouldn't,) I find these to be excellent, and very tasty. If you are concerned about buying food (or anything) from China, then be advised that these noodles come from there. And if you are concerned about artificially over priced products, you may want to wait a bit, and see if the price of these noodles comes closer back to earth. They are still a bit sky high, at the moment. I hope this helps.

It is not authentic soba (in Japan)
I came from Japanese and love Soba noodle so much. Since this soba noodle is much cheaper than the other brands, I gave a try.But the noodle has totally different texture from Japanese Soba noodle. FYI, it is made in China. It is so wired to me. It is way too smooth. I made Soy Sauce - Mushroom based soup (I am a vegetarian. so I did not use bonito fish.).I realized this is not Soba noodle, it is Buckwheat "PASTA". I now get it. I wonder for 100 % Buckwheat noodle, why they can make the texture so different?Anyway, if you want to eat Soba, I do not recommend this, but. otherwise, it has a great value. I will cook as pasta next time, and will have tomato sauce or something to go with. Not Japanese Dash for sure.

Disappointing
So very disappointing. Not made in Japan (stated in listing), but in China. Gummy and tasteless. Noodles clump. Sadly, a waste of money. The search for Hakubaku soba continues.

tasty, 100% buckwheat noodles
In a rural area it is hard to find 100% buckwheat soba. Most soba has wheat. I have tried to make my own with 100% buckwheat, but have not had much luck. These are very tasty. I ordered 6 packages because they are so good and hard to find.

Fantastic Soba Noodle for GF and Vegan Eaters
I love Soba Noodles, both in texture and flavor, and these are an exceptional product. I also eat a vegan and gluten free diet, and as I was researching this, saw that many products 'cut' the buckwheat with flour. These are 100% buckwheat as the binder. Traditional to most Soba, each packages comes with a grouping of three bundles of noodles, so you can portion out each pack to your heart's desire. The quantity I bought included six packs of 3 bundles of noodles per package.
