DEMETER1 oz Cologne Spray - Dirt

If you have ever gone into the woods and raked back the leaves. That musty, loamy, dirt smell that you find is exactly what this smells like. If you want a spray that smells like that, you found the right scent. I did try it as a cologne, and the scent lasted for several hours. I honestly don’t think I can recommend it as a cologne, because it… smells like…dirt.

I love the smell of dirt and it fits the bill. Just be careful, it is strong! There is a strange sweet musky note underneath the fresh dirt smell too.

Best thing Ive ever had the pleasure to smell. I've always told people my favorite smell is dirt but not just outside everywhere dirt but like old, basement dirt and when you sweep it up it's amazing smelling. This smells identical and I've purchased other "dirt" soaps and things other places but none were close. Well worth the buy and I'll be buying much more.

I had some of this stuff around 10 or more years ago and truly loved it. It came up in conversation recently and I decided to order a bottle. The original I had those years ago really did smell like a rich, earthy soil. It was really striking, unmistakable and got many comments. What I received today not only smelled nothing like the original that I remember vividly, but not hardly at all like any soil of any kind There are some little notes of pine, but otherwise it just smells like cheap, soapy, generic cologne. I see some reviews that say theirs smells just like dirt and I'm happy for them, but this stuff I received is just fake or some different formula, I don't know and wish I could return it. So now, I don't know if I should try to order from somewhere else or if the real scent I remember is just lost to time. Big time bummmer for me, brother.

I was nervous about buying Dirt because some reviewers hated it and I am very picky about the scents I wear. I'm in love, though. As a former melancholy grunge mistress of the 90s, it makes my heart happy. I smell like I just crawled out of my own grave to frolick with my lover in a pile of damp leaves on Halloween night. Seriously, I live in the woods and this is the smell you get when you pull last year's black oak leaves away from damp earth. I'm sure not everyone's vibe but I dig it. 😉

I read reviews that claimed the scent settled into something pleasant and unique. I was picturing a scent that evoked the smell a summer rain. This smells like if you took potting soil from a bag and rubbed it into you skin, and then sat on a hayride for a few hours. It could've sparked my allergies and I wouldn't have been surprised. If you like the smell and taste of the dirt that gets caught under your nails when your mother forces you to garden with her each spring, this is the perfume for you. true to its name.
