We read good reviews on this Adamson analog scale. We didn’t want to be slaves to buying batteries all the time. So, I just took a chance & ordered this one. My husband, a diabetic must weigh himself regularly. He says the numbers are a tad too small. I don’t think the company can really improve on this, as there are SO MANY considerations in industrial design. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from buying this model. It’s sturdy & handsome.

Manual scales are 1000x better than electronic scales. No batteries needed and easy to calibrate. This scale check all the boxes for a reliable scale for weight management.

I overall liked the scale my only complaint is that it is hard for me to see the dial. The lines are close. My solution… I take a picture with my cellphone and enlarge it to see my weight lol

I like the simplicity.

It looks and act like a mechanical scale. It works great and easy to use by standing on it. There’s a dial to calibrate to zero. Stability is also great on a flat surface. It’s holds as much value without all the digital scale features.

Seems to be an accurate scale but the lines are difficult to read. A work around is taking a photo with your phone and zooming in to get an accurate reading. This is a minor inconvenience.

I chose this scale for my family because it is sturdy, accurate, easy to calibrate and does not need any batteries. The scale sits nicely on the ground and it is stable.The weight was accurate based on comparisons.Good value for the money.

I dislike it because it weighs you 20lbs lighter than what it should. I have to set it at 9 not zero to get close to the right weight. It hasn't been abused or dropped, so not sure what the problem is.

I hate digital scales so I wanted a simple scale that just was reliable. And this one is it! You may have to calibrate it every use but at least it’s accurate every time. I hate digital scales- they are so unreliable. Print is a bit small but just take your phone, snap a pic and enlarge it. Simple solution.

This scale has plastic 'feet', meaning it can slide around. Anyone with any mobility issues could go flying! Very unsafe. The feet should be rubber to grip the floor.
