A-Premium High Output 253Amp Alternator Compatible with Chevy Silverado 1500 99-05 Silverado 2500 3500 Tahoe & GMC Sierra Yukon & Cadillac & Isuzu, 12V CW 6-Groove Pulley, Replace# 10464476 10464405

Alternator purchased for my 2000 Chevy Silverado with the 5.3 liter February, 2024. Purchased a new tensioner and had recently put a new Delco Gold 6K923 belt on.Ordered the A-Premium 253 Amp alternator and installed that evening. Bolt pattern is exact, correct plug and pulley. Alternator comes with a "Factory Test Report" of which I do not recall seeing one with any I have installed prior and I have a 250 Amp on my GTO. Removed the original alternator and tensioner. Installed the new tensioner and alternator and proceeded to install the belt. I have the serpentine belt tool with sockets extension handles etc.The third attempt had me scratching my head. The belt alignment diagram is on the shroud, tensioner was maxed. I placed the old alternator next to the newly mounted A- premium. The difference is nearly imperceptible without measuring.The increased ampacity of the 253 Amp alternator has a larger diameter case than my original 120 Amp due to increased windings.. This moves the shaft outward slightly of which the stock 92-13/16 inch belt will not get around. I took my stock belt to a nearby auto parts and checked slightly bigger belts settling on a Gates 9425XL measuring 94-1/4 inches. That belt fit near perfect putting the Tensioner right where it is recommended. Alternator is on my personal work 5.3L Silverado LT and has about 6,000 miles since February , 2024, not my daily driver. Alternator is very quiet, charges good per gauge. I would have appreciated knowing the possible need for a longer belt prior to installing the alternator so here it is.Alternator recommended. Good Luck. Mike

Works perfectly and is cheaper than most for the high amp version. However after several weeks of install my it quit working I hit it with a hammer and it started again but still has me worried it's longevity

This alternator stop working 4 months after installation I should returned it when I noticed it doesn’t charge as it supposed.Dede el comienzo no cargaba con la potencia que se suponía no lo retorne por la incomodidad de quitarlo y esperar por otro.paro de trabajar a los 4 meses. Ahora solo es basura.

Fit with a little help from an angle grinder. Seems to work good charging at 14.1v

But what they sent me was not the high output it was original but works great I just need the high output

Died in 4months

This alternator is junk. Voltage jumps all over the place and has given my truck a bad ground loop whine it never had before I installed it. Missed return window or I would send it back.
