Work in front of a well-lit mirror. Before applying makeup, slip on any clothing that requires stretching over the head. To protect your clothing, tuck an old sheet around your neck, barbershop style. Wash and dry your face thoroughly. Prepare paper towers for cleaning up and cotton-tip swabs for minor fix-ups. Instructions: Foundation: With fingertip, dot cream makeup onto face. Use sponge to spread makeup and pat it smooth and streak free. A thin foundation coat is usually better than a thick coat. Color Mixing: Add darker color to lighter color a little at a time until desired shade is reached. Shading: To create a highlight, lay on a color lighter than the foundation and gently blend. Highlight areas: bridge of nose, cheekbones, chin, brow line. To create a shadow, lay on a color darker than foundation and gently blend. Sponges: Use the contour sponge to spread makeup and to pat it smooth and streak free. Crayons: For sharp lines and unmixed colors, remove a little foundation with cotton-swab and apply crayon color directly to exposed skin. For highlighting or shadowing over foundation, apply hard edges onto foundation and soften or blend with fingertip, sponge or cotton-tip swab. Pencil: Use black makeup pencil for fine lines and detail work. Cream Makeup: Apply makeup to skin and blend with sponge or fingertips. Stencils: Use the stencil to create mermaid scales. Large scales can be used on the forehead, medium scales on the cheeks and small scales on the lips. Peel the stencil from the backing sheet. Press all areas of the stencil gently but firmly against your skin and apply makeup to the cutout areas. Remove the stencil and touch up any areas that may have been removed when stencil was lifted. Removal: This makeup washes off easily and completely with mild soap and warm water. It is best, however, to first remove excess makeup with moist paper towel. Some colors may temporarily stain skin. Gently wash skin once or twice a day and stain will fade. Do not rub hard. Recommended for Ages 8 and Up. This product is designed for one-time use only.
