First pair disappointing, but replacement MUCH better
These were the only clip-ons I could find with a 1.25 diopter, so I ordered them despite the so-so reviews I've seen.I've had them for about two weeks, and the lenses are great. However, the fitting that holds them on to my glasses is junk, and has to be handled very carefully. One side keeps popping out of the bracket. I can pop it back in, but the bracket is plastic, so I'm sure it will break before long. Also, the plastic coating on the metal clips (the parts that touch my prescription glasses) has already peeled off. I'm having to put bits of tape on them to keep them from scratching my prescription lenses.8/1/12 UPDATE: They have fallen apart after just three months, despite me babying them (I even found a case to keep them in, as they don't come with one). As I still cannot find anything else in a 1.25 diopter, and cannot work on the computer without them, I will have to order another pair. I hate like heck to give them more of my money, but I have no other option. If you can find the diopter you need in a different brand, I suggest trying that first.10/4/12 UPDATE: Two months down the road, I am happy to report that the new pair is more solid than the first pair. It feels sturdy and seems to be holding up well. Seems like someone heard and responded to the complaints - way to go!8/16/13 UPDATE: The spring has gotten loose, and the lenses don't sit flush to my glasses, so I'm ready to replace these. However, I use them every day, putting them on and taking them off several times per day, so I do feel that this pair has held up under heavy use. I'm going to order another pair from this vendor.

Perfect add-on to my bifocal glasses
I am a software developer and I like using a very large screen (27inch @4K) and turn the fonts very small so I can overload myself with information, images, and codes. My bifocal glasses were just killing me because I couldn't get too close or too far from the monitor. I could not see clearly when I got just 1 inch too close the monitor, or when I got just 1 inch too far as the text on the screen start to turn too small. These flip up clip on reading glasses make adjusting to these dynamics very easy for me. The overall advantage is not only my head won't get dizzy, but also my over body posture benefits from it as well. I don't get neck and shoulder pain anymore. These glasses allows my neck to stay at a naturally straight position. The glasses do add additional weight to the nose bridge, and I look strange in the office. LOL! I think this is a great product!

Works well. Could be lighter.
My existing spectacles work well for distance vision; and my old fashioned "line" bifocals are fine for reading when looking down. But large computer displays with multi-screen rigs present a whole separate class of "agony". Lately I've been doing 3D printing that requires switching between small objects on the desk and in my hands, machinery in the room, and computer displays.Being able to flip down a positive lens in front of the distance part of my specs helps immensely with the displays as well as hand-held items through the top part of my glasses.Yes, the mechanism is a little heavy in this age of titanium spectacle frames and high index plastic plastic lenses. But it is more compact and works much better, for me, than the Carson equivalent, which is about half the price. But, the $6 difference is insignificant for something that you use half the day.Making these with lighter material, e.g. titanium or a high-strength plastic would be a great improvement.Another advancement would be to allow another for adjusting the distance to the eye. The optics are complex, however.

Just right for me to see my computer screen clearly.
I normally wear contacts, but sometimes I have to wear my glasses.... (you understand my comment if you wear contacts). I've regularly worn glasses for more than 40 years AND now when I wear my glasses I have difficulty seeing my computer screen. (no they are not bifocals and yea, I too hate getting old). These clip-ons did the trick for me. Clear view, and I didn't find any issue of a 'narrow' spot to look thru. YES I may look like a geek, but frankly I care more about my eyesight than if I look silly. My only complain is they are a bit heavy. I found that after wearing them for more than 2 hours, I notice that the extra weight causes pinching on my nose, which doesn't happen normally. (I have nose pieces, no if I didn't maybe the issue wouldn't be an issue)

Did the job.
Bought these to help the old eyes in seeing my front sight in handgun competition. Now I can pick up the sight quickly and perfectly clear without tilting my head back to engage the bi-focal portion of my glasses. They also aid in using the computer. Also working on home projects these should dramatically ease dealing with tasks overhead such as putting up ceiling fans, etc. Those with bi-focals know how difficult and frustrating this can be. The glasses are fairly well made and should give decent service--- and at this price-point they are a good buy and cheap to replcae when worn out.

Ideal for use over regular glasses when using a computer or reading music
I wear "progressive" bifocal glasses, so I clip these on my regular glasses when using the computer so I don't have to tilt my head back so much. They're the perfect focal length for this. I also play trumpet in a band, and I wear them to read the music on the stand. I like the low profile, because they don't tickle my nose when clipped on the glasses. I now have several of these, and I keep them everywhere.

Great solution for people who don't want bifocals.
These seems to be super sturdy. My husband loves that he can read when he swaps his contacts for his glasses at night.

Love these glasses have to use them for work to see the computer screen. but prefer the black plastic parts and they keep sending me the gold color. That"s why 4 stars otherwise reccomend them.
