I love counted cross stitch. These are very quick to work up. I chose a different border/frame than the pattern but will use the beads for embellishing. Ample yarn and gauge of canvas is good.

The print on the instructions was very difficult to read because it was so small.

I bought this as a starter kit for my 12 year old daughter. She has never cross stitched before. When I was looking for something easy this came up. The listing says the patterns are printed. So in my mind I'm thinking that the patterns are clearly marked onto the fabric. I have done kits like that before, you just put your x over the x, easy. Not this kit! The patterns are NOT printed on the fabric, you have to transfer them by hand, or try and work off of the paper pattern, which is not as easy for a beginner. It's easy to get lost. Also the paper pattern is Very Very small, the color code on the individual pattern is so small I can not make it out. I will have to work off of the color picture on the front that shows them complete. Also as others have said the floss is cheap, but I was OK with that. There's no hoop, I was also OK with that. But for $30 all you get is cheap floss tangled up, a piece of fabric, and an unreasonablely small pattern that i will have to scan and blow up to use! All of which was supposed to be a fun holiday project for my kid, and now I'm just pissed!

I bought this kit to keep me busy while I’m out and about since my bigger projects are more difficult to bring with me. This cute little set is perfect for just that.Update: Gave it 3 stars- thread keeps breaking due to low quality. Feels dry and brittle. Breaks after a few run through in the Aida.

Pattern & symbols for color chart are so tiny could not even read with a magnifying glass. Hopefuly I can drive to a copy store that can magnify large enough to read?Grid to place & arrange threads by color did not have enough holes for each color. Puting 2 colors in each hole caused tangles in thread.I give it a 2 🌟

This is not an entire kit. Does not come with embroidery hoops. Instructions are a little difficult to follow for someone who has never done cross stitching.

The patterns are cute, and the main reason I bought this kit. But if you are a beginner, don't expect this to be easy. The floss is weak, not a quality product. Even though they are cut in pieces ready to use, I have had the floss just come apart in pieces while I have been stitching. This is not an unraveling, but a weakness in the actual strands that causes them to just tear when stitching normally. I have never had problems like this with floss bought at a craft store, only the cheap floss they put in kits. This did not happen only once, either. I have used about 15 pieces and had at least 4 break in the same manner. My advice would be to pass on this kit and just find the patterns elsewhere.
