A perfect and reasonably priced first train track for a toddler. It’s way to use and the quality of the track and trains are great. A lot of small pieces so would not advise before recommending def age. I didn’t think anything of it to give my 18 mo old son the toy but quickly had to take the small pieces away and just leave the train and tracks. He continues to love playing with it!

I chose this set because I wanted my 4 year old to be able to build with all of the pieces without help. The bridges specifically in other sets seemed to be problematic. This set has proven to be great for him to figure out on his own, and the included pieces were very cool. I was happy with the quality upon opening the set. The tracks hold together well (including the bridge!) and don’t come apart when trains are driven over them. The included train cars are great! Durability has been a problem. A couple of the split tracks (switch tracks?) have had one of the pegs snap off- this may have been due to lack of gentleness in handling. The red roof for one of the buildings has broken twice now- I need to glue it back together again. One of the freight cars also came apart- the top box came off the bottom, and my kids said now it’s a flat bed. I don’t know if the pieces breaking is just us being rough with the set. The roof in particular broke because it got stepped on. This gets played with for hours each day, and we’ve had it for several weeks already. Overall I’m happy with it, although disappointed multiple pieces have broken. I did purchase a couple of track expansion sets from other generic brands here on Amazon, and the pieces all work together really well, including some Melissa and Doug tracks we already had- so compatibility with other manufacturers is very good. I would probably buy this again.

This was a Christmas gift for our toddler. He has played with it every day since Christmas. It is absolutely worth it for the price. So cute! It came with a lot more than I realized (trees, magnetic fish & pole, people) and we had no issues fitting the pieces together so the quality is great. He has wooden Melissa and Doug trains and cars that fit the tracks as well as a battery powered train from Amazon that fits the tracks. Would buy this brand toys again in the future or for add ons.

I bought this set for an add on to a previous Hape set. This set had way more pieces than the Hapw set for a cheaper price and fit perfectly onto the Hape set. My granddaughters are 1 and 4 and they both love playing with this together. The one year old pulls it apart but then toys to put it back together. I bought it as a present for the one year old but the 4 year old loves it even more but this way she doesn't get upset when her sister pulls it apart because she knows it was bought for her sister. I think I will get even more so they can fill up the entire livingroom.

This seems like a good train set. My kindergarten students really like it. However, the helicopter pad was broken when I opened the box. Too bad, because it was a really cute piece.UPDATE: The seller contacted me and sent me another train set, free of charge. They were very helpful and wanted to make sure that my classroom had a complete train set with no defects. 😊

It's pretty simple. The crane string frayed after a couple plays, so had to glue some twine on it, it's a little funky now. Otherwise tracks need to sit on flat hard surface to be level. But it's cute.
