Well built, sturdy and good for my standing/sitting iPad note taking/ drawing sessions.Picture says it all. Very well made product which suits my needs. I bought it for my iPad but it can be used as a laptop stand as well— very versatile.Would recommend. Stainless steel I believe. No need to read instructions. Level on both ends and great height adjustability and foldability. Only gripe one could say is it’s too rigid but that’s a good thing in my opinion haha.

This stand is awesome. It folds up compact. It is vented so your computer doesn't overheat. It has a substantial lip so your computer doesn't slide off no matter how steep you have it angled. It is very adjustable both in height and in the horizontal angle. This allows me to position my laptop at the perfect height/angle for easy reading while speaking to a group without having to look down! It is sturdy and I love that it rotates as well for easy screen sharing without disrupting how you have it positioned. This is well built and well thought out. My only issue is it is so stiff it can be hard to get it moving in terms of the angle, but I know it needs to be stiff so it doesn't flop and let your laptop fall. It is stout so it add some pounds to your bag but it is WELL worth it. I won't speak without it now! LOVE THIS!

Can easily adjust height vertically, and also pulls towards or away from you for maximal confort. Flattens for transportation and storage. Ball bearing is very smooth and rotates smoothly. Metal is sturdy and the base is solid. Helps with neck strain. Total game changer for my posture and remote work life!

I was using a stack of books to lift my laptop to en ergonomic height, which was working, but it took up too much space on my desk, and I actually kind of need those books. This stand is really perfect. It blends in with my laptop, so it's not visually distracting, and takes up much less space on my desk, so I have more room for all of the things I need (coffee, post-its, open book, notebook, etc). It's really study and stable- I can't see any reason this wouldn't support my computer. I use it with a 15" Macbook Pro and a 14" Dell Latitude 7420, and it's not even a thought that it couldn't support either.It does take a bit of muscle to adjust it, so I could see this as being a drawback if you need to fold it up and re-set it up frequently, but that is not how I use it or plan to use it. The same thing that requires muscle to adjust it is what makes it so strong and stable, so it's a worthy trade for me. When I do need to take it for a presentation, I appreciate that it folds so flat for packing, and how it swivels so I can move from hiding to sharing my screen in low tech spaces quickly and easily.

Update: I changed my rating to five stars. The company contacted me and offered me a 30% refund or a different stand from their lineup due to the stand not working for me. I reiterated the stand is of excellent quality and there was nothing wrong with the stand except I was unable to use it as intended. Therefore, I told the company I did not deserve a refund since it was my fault the stand the did not work for me rather than the stand itself. The company provided the refund anyway. Now one does not see that often! This is a first rate company and I am sorry the stand did not work out for me because I like the concept.Previous review: The construction of this stand is definitely 5 stars. I gave it only 2 stars because it did not work for me. Thinking it would perfect for my desk, I discovered it was not so handy. However the construction is excellent. It is heavy enough it never moves on the desk and it rotates so that was nice. It is stiff to move up and down but that is a good think because that means it will not slide down once you have situated it to your liking.This was purchased because a couple of years ago, I purchased a MacBook Pro and the keys were no longer "lifted" but flush with the keyboard. As an old typist I learned to type on a non-electric typewriter so I was used to lifting my fingers. Have not yet adjusted to not doing so making it hard for me to type on the flush keyboard since I tend to miss "home base" on the keyboard. I thought that perhaps lifting the computer up would help solve that problem. It did not but that is not the fault of this particular stand.

EDIT: I've revised my review of this product for several reasons. I think my problems with the first stand were possibly a quality control issue in light of the many excellent reviews. Even before one of the rubber pads popped off, I noticed that gluing of that particular pad looked a bit sloppy. The lack of rotation was due to the base not having enough traction on the bottom. As a result, the whole base simply slid preventing the rotation. The company very quickly sent me a new stand and it works perfectly. I'm forced to point out that the problems with the 1st stand didn't start until 2 months after purchase. Since I've only had the new stand they sent me for 2 weeks, this change in rating is conditional. If it fails again, I won't fail to revise my review again. Another reason for the revision is the excellent, no questions asked customer service I got from Nugalaxy. Without me needing to ask, they sent me a new stand fast. They followed up afterwards and did not even hint for me to revise my previous poor review of their product. I respect that. There's no option for a 4.5 star rating, so I gave it 4 stars. Customer service was 5 stars without reservation.OLD REVIEW: This is a heavy duty laptop stand. It is heavy and takes some strength to adjust, but that gives it stability. It also has a number of adjustments and, at least at first, a rotating base. It's a sufficient size for my 16 inch laptop. Two complaints: One of the four rubber pads that helps hold the laptop in place popped off after 2 months. And the base stopped rotating as well. That was the main feature I was looking for and it no longer works.
