Not up to DII quality.
I absolutely LOVE any towel that's truly made by DII. Have been using them for over 16 years and many of the woven towels that I purchased back in 2003 are still in good shape after years of use. These red windowpane terry towels have no DII label, which is always very prominent on the back of their woven towels. I doubt that they were made by the brand. The towels arrived with some gaps and outright fraying in some of the side seams.See pics. Nothing that a session of hand-sewing couldn't repair, but these were brand new towels supposedly from a trusted brand! As I carefully removed those annoying little plastic tag fasteners that are shaped with a "T" at both ends, the towel fabric still suffered a pulled thread or two. Grr.After repairs, they washed well and are absorbent. Overall, I think that they'll give good service. If you buy them as a gift you might want to check them over before gifting.

Cannot STOP the LINT!!
Okay...the first time I used them AFTER WASHING THEM in cold water...the lint and shedding when I wiped a plate was TERRIBLE!! I looked online and did what it said:1)Freeze your new towels or soak them in cold water for a day. Once they have had their cold treatment, wash and dry them as you would normally.2)Wash your new towels with either vinegar or baking soda before using them. If you are using vinegar, simply add a cup of vinegar into the wash. If you are using baking soda, dissolve half a cup of baking soda in about a cup of water and add it to the wash. In both cases, use hot water and your regular detergent.3)Always run towels-only washer and dryer loads. Fibers in the towels can become damaged if they encounter zippers or buttons in a washer or dryer.Make sure you have enough towels. Overusing towels can mean the fibers get worn down more quickly — causing them to pill and shed. If you are in the hospitality industry or in any business where you need to use towels, keep enough on hand to avoid excessive wear and tear.Use dryers judiciously. Where possible, dry towels outside. This will allow lint to blow off naturally and will reduce damage to the fabric, which can help reduce pilling. If this is not possible, at least use a lower heat setting and remove towels as soon as they are dry.THESE TOWELS ARE THE WORST!!! Sorry!

Cheap and thin.
I like the check pattern and the color. It’s harder to find a true wine color for a country kitchen. It is a much thinner towel than you’d expect, but that doesn’t bother me so much as the quality does. In fact, I bought mine “like new” from Amazon because it was a return and now I see why. They aren’t thick and most annoyingly, the threads come out like crazy after one use. It gets worse and worse and I’m not particularly hard on my things. Just normal use for drying hands and big pots. They aren’t worth the price you pay. My dollar store towels lasted for years and there is no way the quality of these towels will allow me keep them for that long. I keep clipping the threads but more pop out to replace the ones I clip. Frustrating. Definitely would be embarrassed gifting these to anyone due to quality issues.

Don't waste your money on these awful towels.
Terrible fabric and workmanship. I have only washed these a few times, and already they are frayed at the hems with big long strings hanging out, faded color (no, I don't even keep bleach in my house much less use it on dark towels). I have other towels just like these purchased from Amazon in September of 2011, washed many many times over 8 years(!), still show no fading or fraying anywhere. This merchant is indicative of how Amazon no longer cares about the quality of their sellers. Had I not missed the return deadline, would have returned these towels which are now no more than rags for the cleaning lady! See in the image attached, the neatly folded darker green stack of towels from 2011 and the awful ones received in October of 2019.

Don't buy this product
The reason they are selling this on Amazon is because you would never buy it if you could see it first in a store. I bought the set of towels, washcloths & hot pads, all supposedly in wine; however, only the hot pads were wine color, the dish towels and wash cloths were closer to brown than wine. Not only did they not match in color, but the towels and wash cloths were in worse shape than the tea towels and wash cloths I was trying to replace. I should have just returned them, but I decide to wash them in hopes they would fluff up.... they didn't.

Good Towels, Better than I Expected
For a couple of years I have been waiting for my supermarket to offer black towels again, without success - they don't seem to be in style anymore. I need black to match my kitchen so I searched online and found these towels. The reviews are mixed and after reading the negative reviews I was prepared to not like them. They turned out to be great, just what I was looking for! And the price is unbeatable, a lot cheaper than the supermarket. I bought 2 packs of 4, enough to last until black is back in style.Unlike several reviews say, they are very absorbent. They are all the same size. Unlike several reviews say, they did not ravel at all the first time in the wash. They were colorfast and came out nice and soft. Maybe this vendor sources their towels from several different manufacturers? If so they need better quality control. Also, many reviewers complained that the fabric felt flimsy. I think the fabric is typical of dish towels sold by supermarkets. Besides, for such a low price you can't expect them to be amazing, only adequate. These towels are better than adequate, they are very nice. I recommend trying them!

Not Absorbent
I purchased these bc they are purple to match the rest of my kitchen decor, and I constantly use a hand towel to dry my hands on, as well as occasional hand washed dishes and these do not absorb the water off my hands or my dishes very well at all. I recently found some other ones on here I like much better, they’re purple, and absorbent.

Very Poor Quality
I bought a set of 4 dish towels and was very disappointed in the quality and workmanship. As soon as I got them, before using them, I washed and dried them with a few other dish towels. My washer got filled with red fiber and threads, and the lint trap in my dryer was loaded with more. I expected better than this for the price. Don't waste your money buying this brand! They obviously have no quality control inspectors and send you junk!

Merci

Waste of money
These towels are not soft or very absorbent, but more importantly they are extremely linty. I've washed them all 5 times and there is still lint coming off of them onto hands and dishes. Two of the towels were frayed at the edge and I had to trim them. Not impressed and won't buy them again.

Not very absorbent for a kitchen towel
Purchased these to match a kitchen renovation. While they looked great, they were not very absorbent. It was frustrating to use them to dry dishes, since it took twice as long to dry them as it should have. I'm hoping after several washes they will get better, but so far there hasn't been any change.

Horrible quality
Ugh. Just don't know how to comment anything good about this. The towels are horrible quality and do not absorb at all. I wanted to use these as dish towels in my kitchen to dry our dishes after washing.... horrible mistake. I wouldn't even use these as butt towels lol super useless.
