Light weight and comfortable.
Light weight and packable. Oh, and they also waterproof. An they are inexpensive for hip waders. The relatively little that I have used them, they seem durable and rugged, better than other inexpensive waders I have bought. My shoe size is 11 and I bought size 11 boots. There is plenty of room for thick socks and even arch supports. Some boots tend to squeeze or pinch my feet with that combination, but not these. They are thin, so make sure to wear insulation under them when wading in cold water as they don't provide much protection from the cold I wish they could have a strap at the top.

Great waders!
As a rule, I do not write reviews. But I am taking my time to do so now as I read conflicting reviews on these waders and wanted to offer some much needed clarification after using them for two fly fishing outings. By way of introduction, I grew up fly fishing with my dad and grandpa in the creeks of Idaho. We wore the canvas hip waders exclusively. This year I was looking for a couple of pairs of them and ran across these lighter, less expensive PVC waders. I've used them now for two fishing trips, here's what you need to know. First, they do NOT as a rule leak. If you get a pair that leaks, just return them for another pair. Second, the boots are nowhere near as supportive as those of the canvas waders. I highly recommend following others' advice and purchasing some running insoles to put in them. Are they necessary? No, but the bottoms of your feet will be very sore after a day of fishing without them. My first trip out with them I didn't have the insoles and woke up the next morning with the bottoms of my feet sore. Added the running insoles for the second trip and no more sore feet. Third, they hold up VERY well to walking through brush, crawling over downed trees, sliding down a rocky embankment, etc. I have yet to puncture mine. Fourth, they are EXTREMELY easy to put on and take off. The canvas ones were such a chore to take off, you can pull these off with one hand. Fifth, no, they do not breathe (that's what makes them waterproof, duh!). The flip side is that they are not as well insulated as the canvas waders so you feel the coolness of the water much more. Finally, they run true to size. I wear a size 11 running shoe and I ordered size 11 waders. Hope this helps! I highly recommend them and have officially switched from the canvas waders to these!

Hip Waders for Brush Crashing Trout Fishing Adventures
This is my 3rd Pair of FROGG TOGG Waders. I get 3 to 5 years out of a pair of waders. It doesn't seem to matter what brand, or if they are made of heavy rubber, or thin PVC. These are cooler to wear, when marching through the swamps and brush to get to our favorite spots. I am probably a bit more careful in these, as they are likely to be easier to puncture, or damage on the legs. The boot part is equal to the all rubber waders I've used.

Great boots
I bought these for when I need to launch the pontoon boat but I have to wait out in the water a little bit. I'm not interested in waiting out in cold water and having to roll my pants legs up. I've only used these once but they were perfect. They are definitely well made. They are true to size. I'm happy!

5 Star - But they are what they are!!
5 star rated for PVC waders. You can’t compare PVC wader to full rubber or neoprene, they are what they are. I use them for river crossing to get to my hunting area. I do not wear them to walk to the crossing area; I change into them at river edge just prior to crossing.Pros:- Sizing is accurate I ordered and wear size 11.- Appear well constructed- Light weight and easy to pack- Have not leaked after multiple usesCons: Same as all other PVC waders- Low durability for tears and punctures- Soft sole and footbed, you feel every rockExactly as expected, be gentle and should be serviceable for years

They do the job well, but wow! they REALLY stink!
I bought these waders for cleaning our water feature koi pond. The pond is steeply lined with algae-coated Basketball sized rocks. Very slippery! So I went with the felt bottomed waders- perfect! I never slipped once. (Unlike in my old knee high boots - I slipped all the time and was sure I’d meet my demise trying to clean the pond.) *I noted in at least one other review that the felt outsoles start to come off after a few uses. I have only used mine two full days. So no problems yet. But time may tell.I didn’t want to pay a lot, as they aren’t used that often and will probably just get trashed. These were less expensive than my old knee high boots.I stayed dry and safe in the waders. The straps/fastex buckles to attach waders to your belt loops are durable. The boots of the waders are somewhat comfortable. I inserted high quality insoles that I purchased separately which greatly improved the support and comfort. I wore them all day for 2 days in a row. Stayed comfortable. They might be less comfortable if I were actually fishing, scrambling on stream banks, hiking in to streams, etc. but for cleaning a pond right out my door, they work great. I’m 5’4” - they fit me well. Not too long, not too short.So. With all my positive remarks, why only 3 stars? For light duty, these perform at a 4-5 star level. BUT OMIGOSH! THEY STINK!! In fact, I’m surprised no one has complained about it in other reviews. Based on smell alone, I’d give them “0” stars. It’s a super strong petroleum/ chemical smell that permeates everything. I’m not typically sensitive to odors, but these are in a class all their own. I could never bring these inside the house. The jeans I wore under them took on the stench and now permanently smell the same. I can never again wear the jeans for anything else ...I couldn’t stand the constant smell! And from trying to wash the smell out, my washer AND my laundry room now smell. I’m hoping those will go away w time? But these jeans are now my “wader pants” and will be kept in the garage, next to the waders. What is in these things to give off such an odor?!?! I was even afraid to wear them into the pond, wondering how much chemical is leaching into the water!? It’s THAT BAD! I would seriously pay twice what I paid to avoid this smell again. It can’t be good to inhale! :(Update: March 2021Well, the smell went away from my washer and laundry room. It only lingered a few days. The smell in the garage (where the waders are kept) lingered much longer (a month?) but hasn’t been a problem now for a few months. I’ll try to remember to update review again once I’ve used these waders again in May to reopen the pond for the summer. We’ll see how smelly they are.As an avid outdoors person, I’m not sure I would feel right about wearing these into a lake or stream...I’d be worried about leaching??
