Horrible
Was trying to save my teenage son some money. The check engine light went off for about 150 miles roughly 2 weeks. It’s back on same code as before . The bolts don’t match up for the heat shields . It was bad from the start .

Good for the Soul.
I needed a relatively cheap part to replace my 1.6L 2015 Kia Soul's failing catalytic converter, given that my car got to a point where it wouldn't accelerate past walking speed. I *had* hoped to perform the repair myself, but as this cat converter's built into the exhaust manifold, that ended up being a lost cause. The tricky part of buying your own part without having the tools to do the repair yourself is finding a mechanic that will install parts that you supply: some service centers straight-up won't do it. So be sure and have all your ducks in a row regarding installation before you buy. That said, the car's running quite well now that this is installed, engine light's off—didn't even need to replace the O2 sensors.

Perfect looking, but non-converting
This actually came in a box labeled Dorman and showed the Dorman part number but had a sticker covering it. It looks just like the factory converter on my 2017 Veloster, Unfortunately, it still sets a P0420. Looking at the oxygen sensor readings, it's clear that while this part looks great, it doesn't do it's job cleaning the exhaust at all. It's like they put a non-functioning catalyst brick inside. Maybe these are Dorman rejects? idk. I just traded in the car. I'm done messing with it.

Converter defective and has fitment issues.
For me at least this converters was defective. Replaced the stock converter with this unit cuz of the dreaded P0420 code. After installing the cat and erasing the code, it comes back it within minutes as a pending code then within a couple of hours triggers the check engine light. After erasing the code then having it come back a few times I checked the converter with an infrared thermometer.... On a working cat you should be able to see a temperature difference between the inlet and outlet side of the cat. The outlet side should be hotter, they were the same which is good evidence the cat is no good....Also holes do not line up for the for the support bracket and the heat shield support bracket is tapped to the wrong size.

Worked great.
The heat shield on the manifold have to have different bolts sourced as they were incorrectly sized. Other than that everything is working as intended. Great Replacement.
