For the price and the lighting it provides this is definitely a good choice. The light itself is bright enough with options to customize its strength and automatic timer. It has lasted me since my first tank last year, and provided me with good plants.

It would have cost $70 to $100 to replace my original light which is ridiculous. This light works so much better than the original. All the different light settings work nice and the timer is nice if I forget to shut off at night

Without reading the instructions you will struggle to figure out the lights. They’re not a simple on/off and have many different settings ranging from super dim to extremely bright and there’s an automatic timer. It’s really cool and once you set it up you don’t have to worry about turning the lights on and off every day or having too much/not enough light for plants. IF YOURE CLUMSY OR HAVE NOSEY CATS OR KIDS MAYBE DONT BUY. The bars that hold the light over the tank just slide in and out to adjust. Could easily be knocked into the tank if you’re not careful. I accidentally knocked it off the top of my tank during maintenance… but points for durability since it didn’t break lol.

Just bought this light for my smaller aquarium and is absolutely amazing! The packaging is great and is rapped with care. The controls are super easy and installing it was even easier the size was perfect the the tank I’m using it for. I would definitely recommend this light to anyone as it is super affordable and very durable and good. I also have to add the material is amazing!

Absolutely awesome! Sizing was on point for the 30-3x inch offering. Great brightness and dims down accordingly. Upgrading from a single row of led light aquarium light bar. Far better since I now have plants (full spectrum lighting)

Bright. Plants seem to like it. Timer works well. Nice basic lighting adjustments. On the cheaper end for an led aquarium light. Will probably buy again!

First off, the timer system is more of a manual daily alarm clock than an automatic scheduler. You can’t program it to start at a set time every day—it simply starts when you press the timer button, and that’s it. If you want your tank to light up at, say, 8 AM every day, you have to manually press the timer at 8 AM every morning. If you forget or get busy, your lighting schedule is off.Secondly, the instructions mention that the light “remembers” your color settings and resumes after a power outage, but that’s only partially true. Yes, the color levels are saved—but the timer restarts at the beginning of its cycle whenever power is restored. So if you’re three hours into a six-hour cycle when the power flickers or you unplug the light to move a wire, the light will start the entire cycle all over again as soon as power is restored. In my test, this meant that in the middle of the night, my aquarium lit up like a Christmas tree—definitely not ideal for fish that need a regular day/night cycle.This effectively means you’re forced to babysit the timer every single day and you have to use an old-fashioned manual timer to truly automate your schedule—just like with the older fluorescent setups. That kind of defeats the purpose of having a modern LED system.
