BARILLA Ready Pasta, Penne Non-GMO, No Preservatives 8.5 Ounce (Pack of 6)

I have very low energy as a chronically ill individual and once in a while i can get easy to make food that goes with my favorite tastes. This is so easy to microwave and just mix with my fav sauce and then get judged by my scissilian roommate for eating.

These are great for those days where you're barely able to function and need to force yourself to eat but cannot get yourself to cook. I always have these and jar sauce on hand, 10/10

If I could give this a 3.5 I would. It’s pretty easy to make. However you have to cook it longer in the microwave in the package says. Even then it’s still is pretty hard. It doesn’t get extremely soft it just gets very al dente. I have to buy it online because my local stores do not carry it and it’s OK for a person where do you want a single person meal

I’ve added these to my subscribe and save monthly orders. You simply tear open a corner of the package for venting and stick them in the microwave for 60 seconds. They come out perfectly cooked. Seriously just as good as if I’d boiled then drained them myself, but ready in one minute opposed to 15 with ZERO cleanup!!! The convenience is what initially sold me!! I can come in from work and drop a chicken breast, steak, fish or pork chop in the air fryer and while it’s cooking, change out of my work clothes, heat the Barilla Pasta and fix a salad or side vegetable and have a nice meal prepared for myself in less time than I would spend in a drive through on my way home from work!!! I’ve used random sauces that pair nicely with the pasta, but usually stick to a little olive oil or butter with some garlic salt and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.

I have an 11 year old autistic son who loves pasta and wants to help make it. These are great for him, because I don’t have to worry about him being hurt boiling water and it only takes a minute to make. He loves them.

The taste and texture of this product is not quite like the traditionally cooked Barilla “al dente” pasta.I think this ready made pasta would be good if added to a hot homemade soup, like a minestrone or a hearty stew.For me, it didn’t seem to taste right with the ready made Barilla brand pasta sauce, (which came out of a jar).Maybe if you make a hearty homemade marinara with big fat meatballs, this would be okay.I’ll give it another try tho. This was just my first impression.

You need to cook this pasta in its pouch, in the microwave, for only one minute.You can then empty the package contents into a microwave safe dish, add pasta sauce (RAO's is good) and cook in the microwave for only 3 more minutes.There you have it-- delicious pasta ,with sauce, in only 4 minutes. No pots to clean. Fantastic!
