Paizo Starfinder Player Character Folio

Going all the way back to the early 80s, RPG publishers have sold packets of character sheets. Today, most also provide free PDF versions that you can download and print.That's not what this folio is. This folio is a super detailed way to chronicle your character's overall progression. Think of it as a character sheet on steroids. But be super clear that what you're getting with this folio is enough to handle only one character. And that's fine, as this will allow you to have everything in one very nicely presented folio. In addition to having someplace within it to document anything you could think of, there are flaps that provide lots of information that you'd otherwise have to look up in the rulebook.I really like the way this folio is presented, and how it allows for making your character's progression an elegant presentation (until he or she dies anyway). So why not 5-stars? Simple. The folio opens very much like a folder, with a flap, and with the included pages bound within. There are also two pockets, like in a folder. Ok, that all sounds great, right? Well for some reason, someone at Paizo either forgot their ruler, or forgot that standard paper is 8.5" by 11" and didn't make this folio big enough to hold a standard sized sheet of paper in the pockets. You can only fit paper in the pockets if it's been trimmed or folded, or just crammed it, preventing the folio from closing properly. That kind of detail is inexcusable, and probably should have cost them two stars, but I do truly like what's included, especially for the price.

I wasn't sure I would get value out of this, but it has proven to be very handy. Think of it a DM screen for players. It's a handy reference for some common rules questions, and the layout allows for some extra detail and plenty of space for gear. It even has a sheet for your ship. It also has a level tracker, so you can keep track of what you picked up at which level, which is kinda cool for reference.

This is, for the most part, a really great tool for chronicling your character and their exploits. I love how many fields there are and that there's a adventure log and other great things, however, I cant get over the fact that Chronicle Sheets are often printed on 8.5x11 paper and they don't fit into the pockets without bending. I'm at the point now where I think the next purchase for me is going to be a paper cutter, so i can just stack the sheets and trim the edges so they stop bending when this is folded.If you don't play society play or have hand-outs, this is probably great. If you do value chronicle sheets or hand outs, this tool is not the right tool for holding them.

Really great book that accommodates everything for every character... My only complaint is it has a page for drones and a page for magic, and if you are a magic user it may not feel like it has everything you need of you like to write all the details down. Unlike the pathfinder folio which has 2 pages for spells.Not that big of a deal, but worth mentioning.

Must have for players. All the cheat sheets and you need inside this nice folder. Also has a character and starship sheet with tons of extra stuff for every detail such as a captains log, portrait, etc...

Whether you’re a first time player of a tabletop or a veteran player who just wants to expand their Starfinder character, this product is great for allowing you to explore every nuance of the Starfinder system (which is incredibly complicated - trust me). A must have for any character you make that you really care about.

I usually get one for long campaign. It has a place for just about anything like items, treasures, weapons, ship, faction, professions, etc.
