Q: How do I store it, I bought it as a gift?

You can store it in the fridge in the bag it came in as long as it is unopened.

Q: Where can I get logs to grow these in? I don't have stumps in my yard.

I grew these in a 5gal bucket of aspen chips(sold as pet bedding)and a cup or 2 of wheat bran. I sterilized the medium with boiling water and let it cool before layering it and the plugs in a bucket that has holes drilled in the sides top and bottom. I had a hard time keeping the outside sufficiently moist to encourage growth(my house is very dry, especially in winter). Hanging the bucket up is also good since the mushrooms sometimes would sprout out of the bottom holes and stick to the floor. I got a good cluster and some that failed due to low moisture. I have the bucket outside now and it's producing more. I noticed there is now mold growing on the top of the medium, so I will see how that affects it.
