Milescraft is known for making serviceable equipment at very affordable prices. The 1334 jig is no exception. It performs the same as the "big boys" that cost 200.00 US and more. I know, I have a much more expensive jig. The 1334 does everything that the high priced jig does. It is easy to use and configure. The accuracy is top notch. You can't go wrong.

This dowling jig is well made and works extremely well for a reasonable price. Although there are many better and more expensive jigs available, this one works very well for the casual DYI'er. I recommend it.

I love this little doweling jig. I am a complete beginner and this was the first time I ever built anything with wood. This worked perfectly. Everything lined up as it should. I like the all metal construction. It has measurements on the side to line up the spacers. The plastic guides on the side work great for lining up the edges of the wood. This made the whole project very easy.

I wanted to get a dowel jig for a project and I was concerned that a lot of the jigs are plastic. This one being aluminum and having a built in screw clamp, makes it very sturdy and robust. I was able to drill many dowel holes and have then all be aligned well. The included spacers are great for setting the dies to the right position based on board thickness, saving a little time on measuring and adjustments. I took off one star for not coming with a case to hold the clamp and included spacers.

Yes,yes,yes! I am building some outdoor gates and I wanted use dowel joints on top of my mortise and tenon joints. I have one of the other style jigs that I tried to work with. Several days of inaccurate dowel holes, and frustration, I decided to check out other dowel jigs. This one is sturdily built of metal. The holes are very accurate and you can reliably use either side of the jig for alignment. I just did my prototype setup and it has a perfect fit! I don’t use dowel joints often, but they come in handy for alignment in certain situations. This jig is perfect for my application and is also VERY accurate. Great tool!

I had read good things about the Milescraft Dowling jig, both on Amazon and woodworking forums. Alas, this is just another dowling jig, and I'm still not a fan of this style of joinery. It'll get used once in a while for special situations, but I'll stick to other techniques for the bulk of my work.

I had researched dowel jigs for a long long time. Most are to expensive, overly complicated, or junk cheap[ junk. This jig is reasonably priced, accurate, sturdy and easy to set up. The only thing I would like is for the maker to include drill bits and stop collars for those bits.
