Great rower for the price
I can only compare this to my other value rowing machine. It was packaged well and very easy to assemble. The first noticeable difference is the noise. This rower is much quieter. I used to have to turn the volume of my other rower way up to hear, but this one is nice and quiet. The seat padding is good and the track is noticeably longer than my other rower. The timer screen folds back so it's not in the way when you tilt the rower up for storage. Overall the quality seems good and it's not wobbly in any way. Your posture is lower, and I feel like I'm not pushing on the foot pads as hard as my previous rower, which is what failed on that rower. In the end, this seems like a good value rower for starting out. It has good basic features and should fit almost everyone. My only complaint is that the wheels on the front for moving it aren't tall, so it drags on the carpet a bit. If you have a hard surface this won't be an issue.

Sturdy, quiet, comfortable, and compact
This rower is sturdy and functions very well. Operation is smooth and very quiet. No problem hearing TV while rowing. The rower is fairly compact, so no space problem. Seat and handles are comfortable. I am 6’2” and 200 lbs, and it works well for me. The display is adequate for my purposes, so I have not used the app. Assembly was pretty easy. The rower is easy to reposition or store upright. I am happy with the rower, especially at this price point.

Great price & performance
This an excellent rower at an affordable price. It’s quiet and easy to move and prop up to save more space when needed. It’s stable, smooth-rowing and easy solo assembly if you use the guided video along with the instructions.Downside is the lack of clear instructions to pair the rower with the app and assorted functions. It also wasn’t crystal clear how to integrate it with several other exercise apps I use. Case in point, allegedly you can track resistance and adjust it from an app function but I have yet to glean how.

Good workout
The Merach R-02 rowing machine arrived very well packaged and protected and secure and was very easy to assemble and only had one tiny error in having an incorrect style of washer in the connector kit - a very minor issue. All comments we had read about how quiet the unit is while in use are true, when my Wife is using it I can’t even hear it in the next room and when I use it and am quite a bit heavier the sound is still smooth and quiet. I am 5’10 and the length of the rails are perfect with several inches to spare, but not sure if a person 6’4” would be a good fit. As far as weight they say 350 lbs is tops and I’m 230 lbs and it’s solid enough to easily handle my weight and power. If you are stronger I would probably consider the version that has water and magnetic resistance combined. We only have the magnetic resistance which is on the light side for me resistance wise but perfect for my Wife who is 100lbs lighter ! We currently have about 12,000 cycles / pulls on this unit and it seems as though we will get over 100,000 before possibly having to replace the rail seat wheels ( just a feeling, nothing scientific with that comment ). I had a hip replacement recently and found this was a perfect workout prior to and physical therapy after the surgery and really helped with range of motion and getting a light aerobic workout. The intensity is up to you, dial up resistance level and control your speed as you desire and you can also decide how deep of a rowing load sliding motion / extension you want. We’ve had this for about three months. All in all the quality, design and usefulness is of greater value than the cost which was way less than most other options. Have recommended to many friends and Family !

Well worth the purchase!
Great! It is very quiet. I use it while I watch tv and I have no problem hearing the show. Very comfy with nice handles. Highly recommend! Easy to assemble, smooth gliding on the seat. Wish the foot pads were better. Gets slippery with just socks on. Would rather not have to wear shoes for better grip.

Great rowing machine. Exceptional customer service.
The rowing machine was awesome for a great price. Compact, well put together, and great for rowing workouts in the living room. My wife and I both found the range of motion, adjustment capabilities, and functionality to be great.Furthermore, the customer service is exceptional. We had a damaged component in the seat, and KAYA from the Merach team was the most helpful. She patiently worked with me to send components. When I was not able to install the first components she sent, she was generous enough to send an entirely NEW seat assembly from the China warehouse at no cost.I will be purchasing any of my future rowing machines and exercise equipment from Merach.

A wonderful upgrade from my very basic rower; Sturdy, nice movement; handle too small
I had a very inexpensive rower that I used for a couple of years, and thought recently it would be worth it to upgrade when I started having problems with a bolt shearing off.Took a chance after doing my research on this Merach machine, and outside of one issue very happy with it. Been using it a few months, still very sturdy, feels solid, I store it up and makes for a not big footprint. I agree that it's quiet, the actual motion of the row is quite smooth, like how the magnetic resistance works. It goes up to 16 levels, and as an intermediate rower I'm on 10-11, so there's not much room to grow to get up to 16. Hopefully that won't be an issue. The handle - for me it feels small, as in, not long enough for me to grip it shoulder length. I'm 6'2" 190 with not broad shoulders. When I first tried it the handle was definitely shorter than the handle I just gave up on the earlier model. I solved it by buying a 1 1/4" plastic tube, cut it in 1/2, then slid either piece over the sides of the handle. Added a foam covering and life is - well - pretty good. The handle now fits, but is a bit larger than what I'm used to. I'm sure it will be fine.
