I ordered this Fasteners Plus #3 Roof Boot Kit intending to seal a chimney pipe on my metal roof, but I ended up returning it because it was too small for my needs. My fault—I didn’t double-check the specs closely enough. It’s designed for pipes 5-1/2" to 11-1/2" in outer diameter, and my pipe was a beefy 12", so the silicone boot wouldn’t stretch far enough. Lesson learned: measure twice, order once!Before sending it back, I got a good look at it. The kit includes a red high-temp silicone boot (500°F continuous rating), a tube of NovaFlex sealant, 30 red-painted roofing stitch screws, and a 5/16" magnetic nutsetter—everything you’d need for a proper install. The quality seemed spot-on: the silicone felt thick and flexible, the aluminum base was sturdy, and the screws had self-drilling tips. The bright red color was bold (maybe too much for my gray roof), but it matched the description perfectly. It’s USA-made, which I appreciated, and the packaging was intact.I can’t vouch for performance since I didn’t install it, but it looks built for safety—high-temp resistance means no melting or fire risks for the right setup. Compared to a basic boot I’ve used, this kit’s extras (sealant, screws) make it a better deal, though it’s pricier. My sizing flub aside, it seems like a reliable choice for smaller pipes.I’d give it 4 stars—docking one for my own mismatch, not the product. It’s as advertised, so if your pipe’s in the 5-1/2" to 11-1/2" range, this should work great. Measure carefully!

TRICKY TO USE, BUT AWESOME!
It sucks that it takes installing one, to learn how to install one! If I could do it over it would come out MUCH better... and theyre too expensive to buy more than one... but it rained like HELL and it didnt leak one drop!
