Easy to use after having an analog oscilloscope
I like that it’s small enough to fit on the bench easily and comes with probes. I like the large screen and automatic features. Once you learn the function buttons, it becomes even easier to use. I did not like the 3” CD that came with it because most modern computers and some external disc players no longer support the 3” discs. Maybe a QR code to link the operation manual and warranty registration would be better.Other than that, this is the best oscilloscope I’ve found for the money. The fan is a little bit louder than expected, but so what, the price and features make it completely tolerable. I give it an A

Excellent Dual Trace 100 Mhz DSO Oscilloscope for the price!
I've had many oscilloscopes in the past. But that was back in my electronic shop days. The Hantek DSO5102 scope is fantastic compared to my old $2000 scope back then. There seems to be some confusion in the stated specifications, so here is what I consider to be the most important specs:1. The bandwidth of this scope (DSO5102) is 100 Mhz. There are some other Hantek models with different bandwidths, this one is 100 Mhz.2. There is a setting that you can turn on that will limit the bandwidth to 20 Mhz. You can turn this bandwidth filter off and on.3. The scope probes that are included are also rated at 100 Mhz and come with several accessories. The probes will only provide 100 Mhz bandwidth in the 10X attenuation setting.4. The probes that come with the scope are switchable 1x (6 Mhz) and 10x (100 Mhz).5. I cannot possibly describe all of the functions it has since it has many, many functions. Two of my favorite are the Lissajous mode that allows you analyze phase differences and the auto calculations mode of the displayed waveform.6. The Oscilloscope maximum input voltage is 400 volts, but the included probes are only rated at 300 volts. If you need to measure voltages greater than 300 volts, you will need to purchase better probes that will permit you to measure higher voltages in the 10x attenuation probe setting.7. Not including the probes or power cord, the Hantek Oscilloscope weighs only 2 pounds 13 ounces. Less than 3 pounds!8. The triggering is very stable. This is perfect for a hobbyist or even a small repair shop. It you are into building electronic projects, Arduino, Pic Micro, or Raspberry Pi projects or you are doing some electronic repair then this scope will be all you need.

Straightforward with minimal learning curve.
Nice scope. I haven't used an oscilloscope for maybe 25 years, but figuring out how to ue the Hantek scope was fairly straightforward. The unit does not come with an instruction manual, but can be downloaded on line. Very capable little scope.

Amazing oscilloscope for the price
This oscilloscope is incredible for the price. For most people, especially hobbyists, it can easily fit their electronics needs. It's miles better than any 10-20 year old oscilloscopes many people still keep around.Despite stating 100 MHz, the oscilloscope seems to go up to 200 Mhz out of the box (if yours doesn't, there are instructions online for how to get it to work). Keep in mind the probes only go up to 100 MHZ so you'd need to buy new ones, but having more bandwidth is important for lower frequencies too.Make sure to run the self-calibration and also calibrate the probes with the supplied tool before using the oscilloscope (there's a built in calibration point on the device you can attach to), otherwise they will give you weird readings. The only drawbacks I see so far are that it shipped with a European power plug and adapter (I just replaced it with an American one) and the UI is somewhat clunky compared to Rigol but it gets the job done.

Don't buy this piece of junk if you live in the US
This scope is not user frindly if you live in the United States. I am not a electronics fool, but don't wast your money thinking you are getting a cheap scope. I have had this unit for two weeks, and have found it to be almost impossible to use becouse the instruction manual is not tailored to this scope, and the supplied software is impossible to connect with a good US computer. I have tried to update the firmware numerous times with no success, can't register the product do to all the doctumation to be in a foren language, don't know why Amazon would sell such junk into the US market? The firmwre is in a formmat that i have never seen before, i have tried to convert it time after time, and the scoop would not read it. Any support you would need is from a China location and not available in the US, keep this cheap junk in China, it is not US friendly in every way. BTW, this piece of junk did not come with US compatable power cord, inexcusable, to sell this juck in the US market. BTW, I have found the way to up date the firnware, after extracting the firmware software from the downloaded file from Hantek, use the file wth the .UP extention, put into a 4gb faash drive and that has worked for me. I still have issues with the interface come ting the pc and registering this product becouse some of the language is not in a format that i can read.

Very Good Purchase
After much deliberation and thinking.... I bought this scope. Application will be for my home DIY electronic capers. For years I have wanted a scope and now it has happened. The quality of build and feel is commensurate to the price one pays. Leading top brands will be better but then you are going to pay through your neck. For home use as a hobby - it is PERFECT! Very simple to use. Good user manual although there are some bits of Chinese English which tickles my funny bone. Functionality, Scales and settings are exactly what you need. Am I in any way sorry I bought this brand and model - No! Shall I buy it again - Yes!A note - there are some hacks to take the 70 or 100MHz scopes up to 200MHz. I believe leave well alone. Spend the extra cash and buy the 70, 100 or 200 MHz scope you need. Ther are very affordable.
