This item worked perfect .. easy to install and solved our problem .

Not enough screws and bolt slots are not very wide
The holes in the brackets are smaller than the average bolt size so the bolts to my headboard did not fit. The 1Milliion (exaggeration but you get it) bolts I had in the house were also too large so we couldn't attach the headboard. If the supplier would provide 8 bolts (long) then this would have been awesome! Since it is a universal extender, I think having extra wouldn't be too much to ask for.

These were not the correct items for our head and foot boards. We returned them for refund.

What we needed
Attached a headboard to an older metal bed frame, these were what we needed to do it securely. These brackets were slightly thicker than others we looked at and offered “flexible” configurations of slots and holes for attachment. We did have to use slightly larger/wider washers. And the screws provided could have been a little longer. However, these brackets did the job.
