The ratchet straps to secure it to the car did not hold anywhere near enough weight for three bikes. The bolts for the silicone bike holders went through the silicone as they were tightened, rather than securing it. Our family did not use it in the end because we could not trust it.

Might as well not send any instructions because they are not clear and easy to follow. Was super quick and easy to install and fits great on my 2007 dodge caliber hatchback car.

When first assembled, the rack appeared to be a good product for what I wanted it for -- purely local use for a single or maybe 2 moderately priced bikes. But I made the mistake of buying the rack before I bought the bikes. I bought a 26-inch mountain bike for myself and a 24-inch for my wife. When I tried to get the bikes onto the rack, the arms of the rack are too far apart so I have to bend the arms together to get them between the ends of the top bar of the bikes. Also, the brackets are too narrow; it looks like this rack was designed for racing bikes with small diameter frames. There is no way my wife could get a bike onto the rack by herself. The instructions are worthless. They do not explain what some of the parts are for or how to attach them. I eventually figured it out, but it took a lot longer to install than it would with step-by-step instructions.

We had 3 bikes loaded on. Tied them down, and tightened the red part that holds onto the frame, and the bikes all flung off on the highway because the whole red part slid off the poles, even after being tightened down securely

This rack is so flimsy, I wouldn’t put one adult mountain bike on it & it claims to hold 3, and pedals with one bike is right up on the paint.

If you make the mistake of purchasing anyway use the product right away so you can meet the deadline to return. Assembly was difficult and the video doesn't show you on how to complete the strap part. The box did not bring instructions either. If anyone can help let me know please.
