Very small and very bright. Once I figured out you just pull off from the base I was good. I always error in the side of caution to avoid breaking things. You just out pull the magnetic base to get to the thread portion. Then you can unscrew to get to the battery compartment. There is a film covering to keep batteries from starting up. After removal you just pull the unit apart and it lights. It has a nice magnetic base to attach to location if needed. It’s very bright for its size. I’m liking it.

This has to be the best EDC flashlight I've ever used. it feels well made, always works, and doesn't seem to use batteries like crazy.Upsides:The magnet is very strong and keeps it in place unless you really want to remove it, but it isn't so strong that it takes too much force to remove the light.The light is so small that it can be held with your lips or fingers easily, and the magnet allows you to stick it to any ferrous surface strongly so that you know it will stay put.When capped, the light has a very satisfying swivel to it. No parts rub against each other, it is very smooth, which goes to show how well it was machined.The only 2 downsides:It takes three very small Hutton batteries. Not a lot of options there for buying high capacity or high quality batteries.The magnet is very strong and will sometimes stick to split rings or other ferrous items in your keychain. This isn't really a big downside, but it can be a little annoying sometimes. Kinda like how going outside in the summer feels amazing but occasionally you have to swat a mosquito.That's it really. This thing is about one third of the size of my old Coast (overpriced garbage) pocket flashlight and has about 70-80% of the brightness. Easy upgrade, especially considering the price. I hope they make a UV version soni don't have to take one apart and mod it myself.

I've used the AAA battery version but it's more then I want to carry in my pocket. I ditched it and just used my phone if I needed a light.This is the perfect size and I would rather go find my keys to get this than the light on my phone. So much easier to carry, use, and handle.I would (and probably will) absolutely buy this again (or a second one). It won't blind you and probably not the greatest looking outside kind of light, but great for in car, working on home stereo (twice now), just need a little light kind of light.The only thing it's missing is wireless charging or rechargeable, but if that would change the size, leave it the way it is. This takes 3 of the little watch (hearing aid?) type batterieis. Not sure what kind. It also comes with 3 extra.Great little light, if that's what you're looking for. Buy it. You'll be satisfied.

The tiny, lightweight, Olight iMini is one of those cool little gadgets that’s hard to resist. I chose the red finish, and it’s beautiful. Like all of the many Olight products I own, it’s very well made.The built-in magnet, that’s housed inside the back cap of the light, is about the same size as the tip of a ballpoint pen, but it’s unbelievably powerful. When the body of the light gets within an inch-and-a-half of the cap, the magnet pulls them together, and it does a great job of keeping them attached.The back cap features a small ring, which can be attached to a key ring. By slightly separating the front portion of the light from it’s magnetized back cap, the light comes on. When it snaps back into the cap, the light goes off. Removing the front portion of the light turns it on, and it stays on until it rejoins the cap. Or it can be manually turned off by turning the knurled portion at the back of the light.Considering the tiny overall size of this little gem, the light is surprisingly bright.There are two issues with this light that I’ve encountered. Firstly, the miniature magnet tends to cause the light to cling to any nearby ferrous metallic objects, such as keys. For me, this is a very minor issue. Secondly, I’ve had to return two of these light, because they wouldn’t stay lit. Fortunately, both Amazon and Olight have a fantastic return policy, and the replacements I received work perfectly. But then, nothing’s perfect.I haven’t had the lights long enough to say how well the batteries hold up, but the lights come with two sets of batteries; one set in the light, and a backup set.Finally, the light is a bit pricy, but then again, it’s a good quality light … it’s an Olight, so I think it’s worth it.The three photos I’ve included will give you a decent idea of the size of the light and cap. This is really the perfect flashlight for those of us who really don't want more crap in our pockets but would like to have something more flexible than a phone flashlight to work with. I've had some with buttons, but locking and unlocking them sucked and I'd often find them turned in in my pocket. I've had recharging mini flashlights but the batteries go bad fast and they require two hands to operate which is kind of annoying. This is just perfect. Pull it off your keychain and it's on. Wave it in the general direction if your keychain and it will find its way back into the magnetic cap pretty quickly.

I will not go anywhere with this not in my keys. To convenient and useful. Awesome price. Magnetic detach is great

Works great as a keychain flashlight to see locks in the dark! Small enough it’s not in the way and you barely notice it. Wish it was a little brighter but for as small as it is it works just fine.
