Seat looks great, very comfortable

worst pos seat ive ever had the displeasure of wasting my time installing.it has no form of structure what so ever. the seemingly cardboard bottom layer started warping and collapsing within 5 miles. first reasonable sized bump and one bolt tore clean out.im not even asking for a refund, im keeping the seat to show everyone asking about bobber seats to make sure they never buy an lkv piece of garbage.ive swapped to a home made 1/8th inch plate steel seat. more comfortable and actually functions as a seat, not a piece of eye candy. ill be cutting this terrible quality seat up to show how poorly made it is and to reuse the leather.

Not easy to install to the springs and then to the base plate. I now understand better why some companies who make the springs for such seats machine the spring flat on both ends as opposed to leaving it coiled. Also, would've gotten 5 stars for install if the springs had large washers welded to each end of the spring; that would have made the install MUCH easier -- something for the manufacturer to consider to set their product apart from competitors. As for the seat comfort -- one doesn't get a thin seat like this expecting comfort. That said, the seat is wider than others I tried so it is actually more comfortable than others, and the springs really soften the ride. Overall I like it, just wish the install was easier (w/o me having to weld or fabricate anything).

The kit was missing 2 bolts and 6 nuts and washers. To me it’s not too big of a deal since I have a ridiculous supply of nuts and bolts but none the less, should of came in the kit, as far as the quality of the seat and plate it’s actually really really nice. Absolutely love the way it looks and is definitely going to fit nice on my 85 Yamaha xj700 maxim, that’s is as soon as I figure out the best way to weld the plate on.

Everything was in the package BUT instructions. Took educated guess as to where things went. Looks awesome, feels sturdy enough. Sat on it after install and I will say this, definitely not a long haul seat. Your butt will be sore.9/10 would buy again.

I bought this seat and didn't realize it didn't come with the pan to attach the seat to. Most important to read everything about it before buying. I did order the pan later but the seat works well, lowered me down about 2 inches for my short self. Love the seat.
