Safety Bump Cap Baseball Hat Style Lightweight Head Protection Cap Hard Hat for Men Women (Classic Navy)

My hubby hasn't much hair so no early warning system on his head. This prevents many scrapes and cuts.

I immediately put this bump cap to work, as I had to work under my F250 truck to install a new fuel pump (which necessitates removing the fuel tank!). This meant that I had to spend a LONG time under the truck to remove the gas tank, install the new fuel pump, and reinstall the tank, all by myself (which is why it took hours!). There were several times I'm sure a frame member or protruding bolt would have dinged me, but never fear, bump cap is here! LOL One additional advantage which I hadn't thought of, was my elasticated LED Head Lamp. It fit perfectly over the bump cap, and now it didn't cut off the blood to my head! Brilliant. Worked perfectly, fit well, and comfortable. It was a cool day, so I couldn't comment on how well it's ventilated, but for sure it kept my head out of the wind. Great product.

I was working around steel storage racks. I didn't want a bulky heavy hard hat. I found this stylish light baseball cap on Amaze a con (amazon) works great to protect your head from light bumps. Can take out the plastic shell to wash it. Two minor problems. One is it should have some velcrow tabs to hold the plastic cap in better. Two is when you wash it it discolors.

I needed to stop coming home from work with lumps on my head. I work as an auto technician. And as such, I am always bumping my head on something under a car. I saw c this cap and thought it was a good idea. I've been using it for a few months now and figured I'd give it my review.First off, the good: It fits well. The adjustment makes it snug and stays put on my head. It's not ugly and bulky, it's not a hardhat, it doesn't get in my way. And the cover is removable and washable, which is important in automotive business. And lastly, it does what is designed to do, protect my head. The cap even covers the back of my head as here it hurts the when you bump into stuff.Now the not so good stuff: it needs more ventilation, when its 85 degrees out and you're sweating, it rains sweat from the cap. Even in cooler weather your sweat collects in the plastic cap and it gets gross. I wash it out daily. And lastly, the outer cover shrinks when it is washed. I have to really stretch it back on after each wash. It's holding up well otherwise. And worth the money to protect your grey matter.
