Crazily Reflective Excellent Tape
This tape is amazingly reflective. I'm really pleased with it. My community has rings of blue reflective tape around the necks of the fire hydrants. When I started researching tape, I found that one of the hydrants had a few inches of extra tape hanging off one end so I cut it off to compare with what I was finding online. It has a snakeskin type appearance and is reflective in a very narrow angle. So when I found tape that looked like my little sample, I looked elsewhere. I'm glad I did. This Reflexite tape seems to reflect back light that has hit it from a much wider angle. It's also very bright. We put some around the edge of our license plate holder on the back of the car and it's incredibly visible. We're going to put a strip across the very top of the glass of the rear hatch on the car. Even though our hatch and glass is slanted, we tested it by just laying a piece of tape with the backing still on at the top of the window and it still reflects directly behind the car really well. This is a top notch product. I'm expecting it to last too - it seems to be made very well. It's also really flexible and would easily wrap around objects. I'm not sure how well it would flex laterally, but longwise - it would wrap around even very thin objects. The tape I got from the hydrant is really thick and it would not. I highly recommend this product and I paid full price for it and did NOT get it for free! (At some point, I hope to get around to adding some pics to this review.)

Wow!
Wow! highly reflective and very adhesive. I like it!Having said that, though, I do recommend trimming a very small triangular piece from each corner. Somehow leaving the right-angled corner encourages the corner to come unstuck slightly more easily than the trimmed ones, when regularly rubbed by fingers or other materials. Not trying to suggest it doesn't stick well - it does - just sharing my personal experience.

Perfect Safety Upgrade for my black Trek Dual Sport
After some research here I settled on this tape to add some reflectivity to my black Trek bike - obviously the worst color for visibility on dark days and at night. I used the strips along some of the exposed black areas on the sides of the frame and fork tube.As some of the reviews have noted - the light needs to shine at the right angles to really make these pop. However, when it does shine at the right angles they really glow strongly. This means not only artificial light like headlights and flashlights. They also reflect in sunshine: .as the bike turns in the sun, the strips flash brightly. They have strong adhesive and stick tight. Not too tight though - I put a couple on at the wrong angle and was able to easily (carefully!) pull on the tape to remove it. Then immediately laid it down again in a different spot, and the seal was just as strong. All without damaging the paint.Does the job perfectly and looks cool.

Safe and from Tron
Seriously this stuff looks cool! It has really great reflectivity from a long distance, a must have for any night bike ride! The pictures shown are a picture with flash, and a picture without flash, to show contrast. It's important to realize that this tape only reflects light directly back towards the source(ie a car). If another bicyclist is riding without a light, this tape will not produce light, duh. This tape is not a substitute for a headlight and taillight. If a bicyclist heads at a car going fast from the side of the car, since they are not in range of the car headlight, and have no light source of their own, they are more likely to get hit. However, there are numerous advantages this tape has to offer. I equipped my helmet, and my bicycle shoes: front, back, and sides. When coming over a hill, the first part of the body that shows is the head, then the headlight, then the feet last. True for motorcycles too. Also, when cornering hard on a motorcycle or bicycle, the closest part of your body to the opposing lane is your head, and with a black helmet at night, your headlight may appear in your lane though your head is not. Adding this tape will drastically increase the visibility of your head.Do your research before equipping this tape on a motorcycle helmet though, solvents found in the adhesive may compromise the integrity of the shell. Theres a reason they tell you not to clean it with isopropyl alcohol (a solvent). Dont do it unless you contact the manufacturer first. For bicycles it doesnt really matter because they aren't designed for high speed collisions, and the strength is as much in the foam as the plastic outer shell. Totally worth is for a bicycle helmet in my opinion. There's no reason not to put this tape on your shoes, other than it might look tachy. I have clip in shoes I use only for bicycling, so I dont care that I have tape all over them. Nevertheless, if you ride often at night, and your job doesnt demand tape-free shoes, it would be worth the added safety. The benefit of having it on your shoes is that the motion of your feet attracts attention, and increases the chance a motorist will notice you.Its not quite as bright at a distance as it is from two feet away, but it still is very visible. White would be the most visible color, blue is way cooler. The adhesive works great too! If it ever falls off ill use the half roll I have left to put more on, not a problem. Good quality.Overall Im massively satisfied with this purchase, very little money to put into safety, great result, and gauranteed everyone that sees me at night thinks im a boss, during the day they're like why is his stuff covered in tape lol. The only disappointment about this product is that I do not get to see how wonderful and shiny it is, only everyone else. But then again I can't apreciate my hairdo unless I look in a mirror, things I have to live with ;) Anyways I hope this helps!

COMMERCIAL reflective tape is just much brighter-and safe- than regular reflective tape.
If you are looking for amazing reflection and safety, paying the extra to get this commercial "retroreflective" tape is absolutely worth it. It's a simple safety issue, and the regular scotchbrite or whatever non-commercial versions just aren't near as bright. And who want's to get hit by a car because they saved a few bucks? We have put this on all of our kids- and out own- bike helmets. This makes the best bike helmet reflective stickers / bike helmet reflective tape. It also is great skateboard helmet reflective tape of course. We also put come on various spots on our road and mountain bikes, and on the kids bikes too. Since it's a roll of aggressive tape really, you can cut it and use it on anything.
