Great value fir money
I reviewed many similar lights of this kind prior to purchasing, but this did everything I wanted and more. The night light emitted is a bright, yet subtle glow. The torch is perfect and very powerful, but not clumsy like others. Removing a docking the torch is simple & smooth. Would highly recommend this little gadget for those wanting something easy and effective.

Brilliant product
Love this, peace of mind knowing you have a torch fully charged. Having it set to go on with movement is a great feature, it’s not a blinding light but a soft light, really useful in the kitchen, you can make a cuppa without turning all your lights on.

Decent but that sensor isn't great
Hmm. Build quality feels a little cheap for what it cost, and it's very light. Light quality isn't great as the LEDs are the cheaper kind: very purplish in hue, and cause a strobing perception when something moves in its light (although you won't see them flicker when perfectly still). None of that matters to me because it's an emergency light, not a reading or general light, and I don't need it to be robust or searingly bright because I'm not taking it camping or even outdoors at all.My main problem is that its light sensor seems way too insensitive. It has to be more or less bright sunshine before movement won't trigger it (artificial light seems to barely affect it at all). When I put it in my hallway, the lighting up in the corner of my eye every time I went past was very distracting and I had to move it elsewhere. That's a pity because that would have been the ideal place for it, lighting the route to the cupboard with torches in the event of a lights-out, or stopping me from tripping over things in the dark when I visit the bathroom in the middle of the night. On the upside the charging cradle is well designed and safe, no exposed metal or parts; and it also does what it's supposed to do, i.e. turn on when the power goes off, act as a nightlight, or as a motion-triggered light. And the light sensor does actually work, just not as well as it should.

A replacement for an old one
I bought one of these some years ago for my daughter who has special needs and doesn't like the dark. She has it plugged in near her bedroom door, set up to have a dim glow all night, but she could use it as a torch should she need to. It worked so well that when it stopped working I simply replaced like for like because we knew it would do the job again.
