Humidity Sensor Replacement Compatible With Whirlpool WDH70EAPW Dehumidifier

Thanks to the QXParts YouTube video and convenient overnight Amazon Fulfillment, the humidity sensor arrived early in the morning. Ten minutes later, our dehumidifier is up and running!The previous sensor went bad due to corrosion on the PCB from the cheap screw the OEM used to hold the sensor in place. All the screws I took off the plastic trim to access the sensor are galvanized, except the little itsy bitsy screw that fastens the sensor to the plastic frame. I wish QX parts included a replacement screw (a quality one while they are at it).Since our unit stays in one place and the sensor assembly sits snug inside the plastic frame cutout, I skipped the screw install on the replacement. Hoping this sensor lasts a long while (OEM one lasted about 8 years) without the added risk of corrosion from the cheap screw.Also, the Whirlpool 70 pint dehumidifier we replaced the sensor on is awesome, energy star rated and is relatively much quieter, compared to the GE replacement we swapped it out to (we have two). Going back to Whirpool now that is back up and running.

I had an E-1 error code on my Whirlpool dehumidifier. Found a video on YouTube from this seller of my exact model and how to repair. The product worked as advertised, E-1 code is resolved and dehumidifier is working again. For less than $15 plus a step my step video, that is a a great value.

Followed instructions to replace, worked for a tad, and then E1 code came back. Recommend buying a new dehumidifier and not wasting your time on this product.
