Good quality!
Everything fit perfectly except for one shock. The sleeve was the wrong size so I contacted Detroit Axle and they promptly shipped me the correct one. The vehicle rides like new!!!

Great parts—great price
First of all I thought I was shorted a part and I contacted Detroit Axle about a replacement their responses were quick and they were ready to send me the part, then I found said missing part. I apologized and told them it was my mistake and I was sorry. After I installed this kit on my Toyota FJ I couldn’t believe how great it drives now, the parts fit great and they were half the price of everyone else. I’m definitely a happy customer!!!

Make sure you've got a spring compressor.
I totally dreaded taking on the task of changing out the shocks and struts on my '08 4Runner but the local mechanic wanted over $1200.00 to do the job, so I figured I've give it a shot.I figured the struts would be the hardest part of the job so I started with them (I was right). Honestly, the hardest part of the job was disconnecting all the stuff that's in the way in order to be able to remove the strut. After I got everything removed the strut went in without any issues. I ended up totally removing the sway bar from the frame and that ended up being very helpful. The first strut took around 4 hours, the second took around 2 hours (I learned from my mistakes). The YouTube videos are helpful to figure out what you need to disconnect to get at the strut but they are not at all practical. It's obvious that the vids have been edited where the mechanic ran into trouble removing parts. Make sure you've got air tools and a very heavy duty breaker bar, because you're going to need them. The rear shocks were a breeze, it only took me around 20 minutes for each one. Don't even bother trying to remove the bolt from the top of the old shock. I used a Sawzall and a metal cutting blade and it took less than a minute to cut it off. Same for the old sway bar ends. If you gauge it right you can cut them off and save your knuckles a serious skinning. We bought the 4Runner a few months ago and I knew the shocks/struts needed replacing as it was all over the road every time we hit a bump. A huge difference with the change-over. I'd give it 5 stars but I want to see how they perform over the long haul before I do. All told, including the purchase of this kit, I had about $350.00 into the job - so I saved myself around $900.00. So far, I'm very pleased!

Perfect fit
Perfect fit for my 4Runner. It runs a lot stiffer, my old ones were worn out and was very bouncy.

Great Value
Installed in 2007 Toyota FJ-Cruiser. Saved us about half the cost of "parts" that local mechanic would have charged.

Didn't Last
Had them on for approximately 4 months. The front (struts) performance started to degrade within just a couple of weeks of use on standard street terrain. Finally got around to replacing them in September with a better competing product for a few dollars more. Back to a smooth ride going on 5 months now. Spend a little extra and save yourself from doing the work twice. Not necessarily a bad product but you do get what you pay for.

Shipping sucks
While everyvthing fit good, small parts where missing from the box. It's like the find the biggest box to but 3 things in with a sheet of paper for packaging. I've ordered 3 time from Detroit axle and all three packages where missing something. Wasn't enough to make a fuss over, but highly inconvenient to stop what your doing to run to parts store.
