Mark My Time Book Mark and Digital Timer (2 pack)

This is an amazing product for your young readers. It helps them when they do not have perception of time to be able to look at this bookmark. Set timer for how long they need to read if they are in school and Mom forgets to set a timer for self. I have bought this several times more than once because my children absolutely love them and they are 12 and 13 now. If taken care of they can last many years before needing to get new ones.

As many others have stated, children are expected to read for a particular length of time each day. These timers are slim enough to mark a reader's place and give them a choice in how they want to time their reading. One of my recipients uses her timer set at 20 minutes (her required time) and the other uses it to track the minutes that pass while she reads. Either way works great and encourages autonomy in recording their results. My only complaint with the Mark My Time Book Mark and Digital Timer was that different colors were priced very differently. This particular package - a 2 pack - came in purple and green only and was a significant savings over some of the single-pack ones in more popular colors. Shipping was faster than scheduled and the packaging was well padded.

When my kids remember to use these they are great. My kids were excited to use these for the first two weeks.I do have one big complaint. When these arrived the purple one was not working. I had already given my son his and he loved it. When I contacted Amazon I could not get a replacement without sending both back.Instead of taking one away that was working I messed around, and ended up replacing the battery. It worked and I didn’t have to send them back.

It has a regular clock with the current time, a timer that counts down and a timer that counts up.I got these for my 6 year old nephew - it's nice to have two that work the same way, so he can have one at his house and one for when he comes to my houseHe has required daily reading for school - 20 minutes - but more than that, I need to be able to get things done while he's here, so this is a neat way of helping him be quiet and concentrate for a period of time. He doesn't really know how long 20 minutes is - he cannot feel it yet, so this helps him to know!I'm a believer in putting time in the child's hand. I think that kids enjoy being responsible for time management - knowing when to wake up, when is time to do this or that - rather than having someone to tell them, and I think it's an important life skill besides!Win!

One came with a completely blown battery. Kind of a bummer for the kid who got the broken one. Luckily we were able to order replacement batteries and he was patient and waited to three days, but definitely not the ideal situation. Also, the beeping can't be turned off and is really high pitched.

Very cool idea. My kids are required to read a certain amount of time each day for school homework. These little timers follow the books and keep track of the total time they read. It's easy to use and fun for the kids to see the time they logged.

I previously left a negative review on this product, but it was the wrong product review. I am unable to figure out how to remove that review but I wanted to say that this product is perfect for my son, who hates reading but needs to track his time. He no longer looks at the clock and asks if he is done.Thank you

I purchased the two pack for my son and daughter for Christmas. Purple for my daughter, and green for my son. When it arrived, there were two purple bookmarks. No green. So that was definitely disappointing. The product descriptions specifically says "Digital bookmark in two colors, Green and Purple." Other than the color issue, the bookmarks are great so far. They are simple to use and my kids can track their reading time easily.
