Hi Mom! Thank you for your interest in Guzzini My Fusion Bowl, 7-3/4-Inches, Black, Red. Yes, it is ideal for hot soup as well. The bowl is also dishwasher safe. Do not, however, use in the microwave. Hope this helps. Let us know if there is anything else that you need.
