Good overall camera with a lot of features.
It's a very capable hand held camera, but I cannot get the zooming smooth. When you are recording and want to zoom in or out you will see noticable steps. It's not a show stopper for me, but it is something that you need to consider when taking your scene. The beeps can thankfully be turned off for more covert recordings where it won't scare wildlife. You have to use the AC adaptor connected to the USB-a to USB-C cable (included) to charge the battery that is on the camera. Then switch the batteries and charge the second one. I've had them last for more than 3 hours when shooting a time lapse which is great.Yes it functions as a webcam, but when in that mode the zoom doesn't work, so you need to plan ahead and get your shot approximately where you want it. When you use it as a webcam and connected it to a computer via the USB cable, it also powers the camera so the battery doesn't drain. In my opinion, this does exactly what it is advertized and is a very capable and good handheld camera for the price. Its light weight enough to not be cumbersome and discret. I like this little camera mostly because it gets the job done that it didn't cost as much as others. The MOV file output is not a problem as many video editing apps can handle this format. As an added bonus for me is the small directional microphone that comes with this camera has a standard RCA jack that also works with my Canon DSLR when I shoot video with that. This camera mostly replaces the need to use my DSLR (10 lbs with lens) to shoot video. This camera doesn't weigh anywhere close to that.

Great camera! Great Price!
I got this 4K video camera for an event I needed footage of. I have a Canon EOS Rebel T6, but I felt I needed an extra piece of equipment to live capture videos, but I didn't want to break the bank. I did extensive searches for video cameras under $200 and Amazon had quite a few. I did more research to find reviews to see if it was worth me spending money on another camera. I landed on this model. I saw the reviews and they all, for the most part, pointed to a lot of positive reviews and I was sold. I figured it if didn't work, I could return it. I used the camera to record video for a football game and I loved the results. The camera is super lightweight, comes with a mini boom mic, two batteries, a remote control, and other items. Very nice for the price! It was easy to carry around and the learning curve on it was very low. If you need a video camera for your needs, but on a budget, I would seriously look into this camera. You won't regret it!

Don't waste your money
My opinion : it comes with useful accessories, it looks pretty cool, especially with all the accessories on it,small and light weight.Build quality: cheap, flimsy plastic, all buttons are very stiff to the point where if you put the camera on a tripod and try to press any buttons it will tip over. It is all plastic except the metal block inside to add weight. It appears to be a block of slag from steel productions. I have removed it from my camera and the block is the same weight as the camera without it,basically it doubles the weight. Some suggested that this is a good beginner camera for kids. I can guarantee you that this camera will not survive kids for more than 20 minutes.Operation: it is extremely slow to respond, especially with the touch screen. It takes second or two before anything happens. If you try to go too fast the camera will freeze up. On the positive, the viewing angle of the screen is not bad at all. There's a surprising amount of options in the menu, however, some of them seem to do absolutely nothing. Focus is fixed (no auto focus) and minimum distance is about 4-5 feet. They claim it has 16x digital zoom but in reality is about 2-3x. Regardless,is useless, it just makes already bad image even worst. The internal mic is useless, it sounds just the way one would imagine. Cheap mic inside a hollow plastic box. The external mic is ok, much better than internal mic. The camera has mechanical IR filter in front of the lens and its removed for night vision. In night vision mode you will be able to see about 5-6 feet in front of you. No further than that. Battery life is about 25 minutes in any mode.Image quality: this is the big one. Obviously the specs are fake. This is not a 4K or even 1080 or even 720p resolution. I believe the camera takes images at resolution of 480 and blows it up (enlarge)to whatever size you want, like zooming in on low resolution image. It will make very large files for you but the image is still low resolution. The images (photo, video) are always very grainy regardless of light conditions. This is due to low resolution image being enlarged and not the light. Also, the image is oversaturated. I tried every possible combination of settings but there's nothing that can be done to improve the image. They tried to make it look as this camera has a large lens. In reality is just a small piece of black plastic with even smaller piece of clear plastic in the center. I think the clear plastic is under 2mm. I have a few M12 (glass) lenses laying around and thought maybe I can improve the image by changing the lens. The lens mount inside this camera is made so cheap that it has only few threads , not enough to get new lens in focus. Basically there's nothing that can be done to improve this camera. Conclusion: in a nutshell , this is a cheap low resolution webcam put inside a box to pretend to be a camcorder. Webcam is always gonna be a webcam no matter what box you put in and 480 is always gonna be 480 no matter how much you zoom in. If the seller/manufacturer were honest and advertise this camera as something like "simulated 4K" and sell it for $10-15 I would say go ahed and buy it. At $150 you're getting scammed . Also, there are many positive reviews of this type of camera on youtube. Keep in mind that the reviewers got the camera in exchange for positive review and not for money. However, there's is one guy (I don't remember his name) that gives honest reviews and he takes these cameras apart so you can see whats inside.

Amazing little camera for the price!
This camera has been amazing for the price! I have nicer cameras, but purchased the camera to use as a secondary in some podcast videos, and I hate spending a ton of money on a hobby. Setup was super easy, video quality has been great so far, and can't wait to use it more. All the reviews complaining about not getting a SD card - almost no camera you buy comes with one! Like complaining about a video game console not coming with a game. Also, SD cards are super cheap (as little as $8 - $10 for a very decent size). It can be worrying to buy a cheaper item as a "starter" for a new hobby or passion (what if frustration with the "inferior" tool leads you to quit), but I really do think this camera would be perfect to give a teenager who's interested in shooting video/film-making, and learning how to hold an actual camera (rather than a phone).
