works great, but beware battery!
Works like it is intended and gives me an extra degree of safety. Just be careful because it might drain your battery. Not sure how to check which guitars it does that on...

Perfect for acoustic when you are not plugged in
Bought this for an acoustic guitar with a K&K pick up. If I was not plugging the guitar in, then I was worried about the strap possibly slipping off the end pin jack. So now i put the strap on as usual and then insert the Strap Jack to be sure the strap stays in place. Works great and I no longer worry about my guitar falling.

well - good and bad
Yes ! well - good and bad. Recommended by Tony Polecastro. Works great but you can't use when you're hooked up to the amp. Also - you will possibly drain your guitar battery if you leave it plugged in to the amp jack! Anything plugged in to it can possibly drain the battery. Pay Attention!!!!

good idea !
i like this product ...good idea. i have only used for a short time but so far so good. i have not noticed any draw on batteries. the rubber doughnuts are a bit hard to put on but i really like the end plugs. that is what i bought it for. if it works well , i will buy more.

Perfect solution for my Martin
I just opened the bag and tried this thing out and it fits into the pickup of my D-28 solidly and securely. I first unscrewed and removed the little nut adapter to reveal the bare screw which provided a lot more space and a much narrower stem for my chunky strap to hang onto. I took a photo of this with the strapjack in place before putting the strap on it, you can see there's a good 1/4" of stem visible. Then I put the strap on there (why strap makers don't make these holes a little bit less bulky I do not know...there's no reason for it to be quite so thick, but that is another issue) and inserted the strapjack, it clicked in with that same satisfying "click" just as your cables do, no doubt that it's in there and it isn't going anywhere.

Very Secure, but drains battery.
For security, this is 5 stars plus! The bad part I discovered when I plugged a real cord in and had no amplification. Battery was at 0%. Looks like when this is in the jack, it keeps the power on for the electronic amplification and drains the battery.I won't be using this because I want to keep the strap on 24/7. If you are willing to remove this when you are not using it, then it's a good thing. It will still drain your battery as if you were using amplification, but not as fast as if it was in 24/7.

Necessary to keep strap on your guitar preventing crash rash on your instrument.
First off this is nothing but some cheap plastic and a vinyl washer. But they do the job of keeping the strap attached to your guitar. You never know when your strap will come off and your valuable guitar end up with some unwanted crash rash from the fall. I really do like the plug that goes on the amp jack hole. The washer that goes on the other end can test your patience but it does lock the strap to the guitar.

Perfect solution for playing unamplified. 5 stars!
This is a great solution for someone that plays unamplified with an acoustic guitar that has an end pin jack. I own an earlier version and it's longer than the current version but the current version has zero issues with fit and staying in place while playing. The rubber washers they send with the product aren't very good though. If they switched to the actual rubber "Grolsch" washers it would be a perfect kit.
