Very high quality!
I already had one of these, and wanted to get another while they are still in production. Very high quality! The three light levels are spaced perfectly for most uses. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Still a great light but the older, simpler user interface was better
This Xeno E03 made quite a splash when it was introduced around 2010. It runs on standard alkaline or NiMH AA batteries and 14500 lithium ion batteries. It's about 3x brighter on 14500, but the differences between the 3 modes of brightness are not as pronounced as they are with AA batteries. It has a heavily knurled aluminum body for ease of holding, including when wet, will run indefinitely underwater (I've used it to repair a pool light at night) and the recessed tail click switch is inset so it doesn't interfere with tail standing (if you haven't tried it, tail standing a flashlight in a location where the light can reflect off a surface like the ceiling works better for emergency lighting than using a candle). I've given away several as gifts and all are still in use even though flashlight technology has advanced far beyond 2010 specs.Since my wife loves the EOS but lost her 1st generation version, I replaced it with this 3rd generation. It's noticeably brighter at 550 lumens than gens 1 and 2 but not an improvement in the functions. It still has the 3 basic modes, low-medium-high which are accessed by lightly depressing the tail switch when on, but now it also has 3 hidden modes: strobe, long blinking and SOS. These are absolutely worthless to most users. The long blinking could be useful if you were a parking lot attendant, but unless you have a red plastic diffuser - which actually came with the original gen 1 EOS even thought it didn't have the long blinking function - these hidden modes are a waste. As I'm writing this I checked the flashlight forums and consensus is that these hidden modes that are added by many manufacturers are seldom if ever used for casual operation. Plus the strobe shortens battery life. The one drawback of the XENO EOS is battery life in general, although it's much better than some off-brand lights and even powerhouses like Deerelight. But if you get rechargeable NiMH batteries like Eneloops, or generic 14500 like are used in some vape pipes battery life isn't an issue. Also, if you haven't experienced lithium ion batteries in flashlights and want to be wowed, invest in an inexpensive XTAR charger and buy a couple 14500 batteries. A standard AA charger won't charge lithium ion but the XTAR charger can determine the battery composition and is safe to charge all of the AA sizes available including 14500 lithium ion.

Simply the best.
I now have three of the XENO E03 Rugged AA size Keychain LED Flashlight with Cree XM-L2 U2 LED 6 Modes Waterproof in black. I carry my original daily...a few years back I thought I had lost it and ordered a replacement (flashlight #2) subsequently found the original. Most recently a couple of months ago, I again misplaced it, my husband couldn't find the replacement (flashlight #2) so here I go and order another (flashlight3#) I found the original almost the same day that flashlight #3 came. I just cannot do without my Xeno light.

Good lights... even 12 years on
I bought a pair, warm white LEDs, back in 2011. Paid $30 each, then. Lights still work fine, and run on any AA sized battery, regardless of chemistry. Good lights.

Well made light with a hard to press button switch
Very well built, bright for its size, switch button is very hard to press, almost impossible to press using thumb when one hand operating. One full click to turn on and half click to change mode from High, mid and low. It always starts on High after turn off.

The best AA/14500 light. Rugged, bright, perfect!
Xeno e03 red on left, xeno S3a with 18650 on right. One e03 is cool white in picture, the other is a modded sst40 5000k. With the sst40 mod the e03 is brighter then the 18650 S3a running on Sony vtc6. These e03 are the BEST aa/14500 lights made in my opinion. I have 5 in total. Easy to mod the led, easy to use, bright! Can't say enough good things. Just sorry it took me so long to find them. Will be giving a couple as gifts. Recommend definitely.

Way larger form factor then current single aa or 14500 Flashlights
Very large for aa/14500 flashlight..close to small 18650 sizing..no pocket clip..good looking design, but a lil to large.
