It worked fine, just a bit of trial and error
I just received this today, and so far so good. I had two openers I needed to program to it, one a gate with dip switch codes and the other a typical scrolling code opener. The opener was super easy, the gate took a few tries but all good. I'm not sure of its durability, battery life or longevity, but the fact that it worked between two very different devices and I didn't need to drop $250 to buy a home link rear view mirror and wire it up myself makes even this cheap plastic device worthwhile.

Great opener for many garage doors
I have two garage doors, one a craftsman circa 1984 and a new chamberlain 2022. I needed something that could work with both. This little opener seems to work with just about everything. Very pleased, super easy setup, small like a factory opener. No complaints. I have one in every car now and dont even use the factory ones that came with the garage door.

Works.
Does work. Feels flimsy but since it stays clipped to the visor that's ok. Not the easiest to program. This says it works with Sears openers but Sears is not listed on the code list. After going down the list and trying each brand (a pain and time consuming), it finally worked with the Chamberlain codes. I bought this because I left mine in my car 400 miles away and for the price it cost about the same as having mine mailed to me and now I have a spare.

Works as advertised; if you can make it.
My expectations for this garage door opener sank when I saw that the support address was a 163.com address (similar to gmail in China). But in the end, the garage door opener worked perfectly, and programming was not as painful as I feared. The instructions were reasonably clear, though a little intimidating due to the large number of options and multiple steps. They were printed in such small text that I could not read them. I had to scan the sheet and look at it on my computer. The compatibility list is a bit confusing and somewhat inaccurate. For example, most people have no idea if their garage door opener operates on 315 MHz or 390 MHz. My garage door was installed in 2001, but it ended up working with "Intellicode 2005-Current 390MHz" option. You have to be willing to try a few options if there is no perfect match or if your first guess turns out to be wrong. Fortunately, once you get the hang of it, trying a new option is quite easy and fast. For DIP switch programming, the most important advice is: If it does not work, swap the state of all the switches. For many older openers, there is no indication which switch position is "open" and which is "closed." Any guess you make about which position is which will be just that, a guess. If it does not work, you need to try the other way.Summing up my experience, it took me 15 minutes to program the 3 buttons with an ancient gate (dip switch), an old (2001) Intellicode garage opener and a recent LiftMaster garage opener. I ended up ordering a second one so I could program it while I still remembered how and keep it as a backup. The bottom line is that when it comes to dip switch programmable remotes, there are very few options on the market. If you are willing and able to put in the effort to program, this is a very good workable solution.A copy of the programming instructions is attached.

Poor rating
This remote keypad is not very good. Sometimes it will program justfine, other times it will lockup. The instructions do not mention the resetthat is online. DISCONNECT BATTERY, WAIT A FEW MINUTES, PRESS AND HOLDTHE ENTER BUTTON DOWN (DO NOT RELEASE). RECONNECT THE BATTERY WHILEHOLDING THE ENTER BUTTON DOWN. SOME SAY THE LIGHTS WILL FLASH, MINEDID NOT. I was then able to make several attempts to program the remote. FINALLY.This was my second device as I thought the first one was defective. In this day and age, this is not acceptable!I would not recommend this opener.

use the main opener dip switch settings
BeanKOneal Universal Garage Door KeypadI tried for a couple of hours to program this remote to no avail. Finally got it to program & work my Sears door motor Model 139.53600 / Liftmaster 41A3066.Sears Remote Model 139.53718It didn't program correctly or work because I used the DIP switch settings from my original operable car visor remote. It has 8 dip switches. After a couple of frustrating hrs, checking & rechecking my dip switch settings, I almost gave up & thought I'd have to return it.I climbed a ladder to check the Craftsman main motor dip switches which happened to be a 9 DIP switch.I cleared the Universal keypad of all previous codes and put in the 9 DIP switch codes. (following the written Universal Keypad instructions precisely) It installed it perfectly & the remote keypad now works with my 25-30 yr old Craftsman 1/2 HP garage door opener, along with my original car visor remote control. (which had only 8 dip switches) - the first switch from the main motor evidently wasn't used or needed on the remotes they sold with the garage door opener unit.In small letters on the bottom of the programming instructions was the following helpful instructions:"if your programming process is messed up or your pin is messed up, you can press and hold Buttons "1" and "#" on the keypad for 5 seconds and it will restore factory settings."I cleared the codes EACH TIME after putting in a couple wrong "Opener I.D 2 digit codes and it worked on the third try. Compatibility list & Opener ID codes are included in the precise instructions. (only a couple words spelled wrong..Example: they wrote TEXT each time instead of TEST, No biggie, I understood the instructional sentences clearly. This opener is stated to work with most "Colored Learn button" Garage door openers as well as most popular DIP switch Garage Door openers. 1993 to present. Very clear Instructions are given for all types of motor opener code settings. Make sure you pick the correct procedure. Also lighted keys for night operation. Works w/9V battery installed. That's right, installed, not sold separately. That's a switch! Hope it lasts..... mounted on the garage door frame outside. Happy. Hope it lasts. Made in ChinaJune 2023
