You get what you pay for
This is a great system. I shopped around for a couple days due to the price of this system and finally decided on this system because it works out to be cheaper in the long run. A lot of systems require you to pay for their services or loose access to important features of the system (like push notifications) but not this one. This is true self monitoring and it's pretty easy to set up. I was a little concerned that the alarm wouldn't be loud enough but it is quite loud and has an ear piercing pitch to it that can be heard easily. The price is a little bit high but is pretty low in comparison to other systems adt sells. The install was pretty easy to figure out. Everything is preinstalled and can be paired to your system through the adt app. After pairing be patient, each sensor generally takes about 3 to 5 minutes to update before it becomes active in the system and it may appear that it didn't pair properly, it did you just have to be patient with it. The motion sensor is great, I read that it needs to be mounted higher than 6 feet, I mounted mine at about 7 feet (not pointing at any of the fans in my house) and it works flawlessly. I was a little concerned that either that cat or the dog (a beagle) would set it off but they don't, in fact my 3 year old daughter doesn't even set it off but it goes off every time I walk by it. The range on all the wireless sensors is phenomenal. I have a 2,000 square foot house with the hub in the center of the house and i have had no issues with range, even in the basement. The only thing I dont like about this system is how hard it is to buy add on sensors. I don't understand why any company would create a great (and pricey) system like this and not make it easy to buy add on sensors. I was able to find a 4 pack of window and door sensors from best buy and bought 2 of them, I would like the smoke alarm but am still struggling to find it. Buying add ons with this system can be tricky, if they are not specifically ADT blue they will not work with the system from everything I've read. I will definitely recommend this system to friends, its worth the money.

Frustrating & never connected to wifi
We had a hardwired system at our old house. Had to leave it behind in the sale. Wireless seemed logical, practical and affordable. Wound up being a massive headache trying to install. I’ve installed 22 1080 HD cameras & run a biz. I’m no stranger to security install. This adt system was problematic from the beginning, directions are misleading and my unit was missing parts. After 3 days of trying to install it, troubleshooting with customer support and wasting valuable time I should have been working, I sent it back. Nothing nice to say about it except thx for the refund.

Overall good
Overall, I like this product. I like having the ADT name on my home, I like the products, easy to install. The keypad is about 80% usable ... sometimes it doesn't pick up the numbers you touch... and with 30 seconds to turn it off... we've had a few false alarms over time. The keypad on the main unit is even harder to use. The buttons on the Hub are not lit up. I also wish you could buy single items as an add-on to your bundle afterwards (I.e. more window sensors, an additional key pad). My last complaint is.... right after I purchased this item on Amazon, and was on their website, they had a 50% off coupon. So I paid 2x more than I had to. Other than that... it's alright.

About as easy as it gets, Alexa likes!
I had the ADT/Smart Things setup in my house for years before that came to an end. I really liked how it always just worked. Since the end of ADT/ST I've tried a few alternative and all have left me with rotten sensors, poor battery life and terrible apps. I didn't trust the new services as much as I trust ADT. I'm usually not a fan of name brands but in this case they've earned it.There's an Alexa app that I've installed that is working well so far. When I linked my ADT account to Alexa the door sensors were all added under the names I had assigned when I set up the ADT bit. I have a front door sensor now that I can click on "waiting for blue ADT" and then I get the status. I've created a routine for my front door from this to turn on the lamp in the entry way for one minute. This lights up the entry when I arrive and turns it off after a minute. I don't hang out in the entry so that's perfect for me. Routines can be much more complex but why go there?I named my hub "home protection" and I can tell Alexa "Arm home protection" and the hub starts to beep the exit timer. I can disarm when I come in the door by saying "Alexa, disarm home protection". She asks for my PIN and that's a bit bad since anyone within earshot can hear me but I'm usually in the kitchen by then and just talk to the Echo show 8 there in regular voice. There's a keypad too but I like using Alexa.I recommend this ADT setup. It's a good start and with tons of Z wave stuff available I'm sure it will be easy to grow this into something much better. The sensors seem very robust. I had no issue mounting them and plan to get more once I find a deal. I'd like to sensor my windows all over the house. Z-wave stuff works which is nice. The old ADT/Smart Things contact sensors and smoke alarm/CO2 sensors will not work with this.I had an issue with my order and I was surprised at how quickly ADT took care of things. I didn't call, I just emailed. They do everything you could want. I was surprised at how all the items in the kit were already setup and ready to go.

Does not work with Google
For anyone who is getting this in hopes of having Google Home integration, I'm sorry but the advertised compatibility is broken at the moment. The app development team did call me to acknowledge and said they will rectify the issue but I have not heard from them yet. I will update once I hear from them.Update: While the app is still broken, the developer contacted me and was able to fix the sync in the Google home app. Just use the add new "Works with Google" device and search for Blue By ADT.
