Fading pop star Debbie Taylor is on the verge of losing everything including her freedom when she runs away to suburban Ohio where she finds her way into teaching music to a talented group of misfit kids. As she lays low and taps into the kids talents in an attempt to become relevant again, she begins to realize that fame isn t everything.

Debbie Gibson is terrific!
I enjoyed every minute of this great movie. So Different yet so enjoyable. Others have commented on the individual likes so I will simply say, very good production, direction and acting. Spend 90 minutes you will absolutely enjoy this movie.

Sweet movie; skip the second one!
Never knew about these 2 films with Debbie Gibson... She's actually a great actress! Who knew!Fun, semi-autobiographical rom-com, replete with feel good, music-kids side storyline. This, the 1st of 2 movies is a keeper, and stands on it's own without needing to watch the 2nd film.(By the by: the follow up movie to this, 'Wedding of Dreams' is honestly worth skipping. The romance aspect of this, the 1st film, was the least interesting part, and only when they are the main focus of the 2nd film do you come to discover that the 2 leads have, and I am not kidding, ZERO chemistry between them. It's hard to sit through.)

Wonderland
You've got to take a Hallmark original made for television film for what it is. This wasn't designed to be a academy award winner. This was a fun & uplifting film, although completely over the top at times. Debbie Gibson was a teen idol of mine & it was fun to see her in this project.
