I bought a few more of these every year for awhile. I now have 18, mostly green, but some red and blue also. I use them around the holidays to light up trees in the yard from various angles. They're good, quality lights, and easy to stake in the ground or mount on a fence. One or two failed over the years, but many that were purchased 12-15 years ago are still working great. The only down side is that they keep increasing in price (the first ones were under $50). The green are very bright. As with most lasers, if you use blue consider doubleing or tripling the coverage for the same area to get the best effect.

Very easy to use. You can adjust the patterns. Customer service is beyond great!!! I have 6 green, 3 red and 2 blue. They light up the front of my house and the roof like a Christmas tree. I have had 1 green light go bad in 3-4 years and was replaced because it was covered under warranty. The red and green are bright but the blue is not so bright. There are more dots with the green than the red and blue but still look great.I have cars stop in front of my house to take pictures. Some people have Knocked on my door to ask where I got the lights!

These look great at 100% brigtness, but they will not stay bright. The go dim and if you thinks yours are fine- just wait a season…they do not last and the inner piece that adjusts the mode ends up breaking and wont stay on any particular mode at all as well as the projection ends up hazy and blurry almost as if the glass is dirty (but its not). These are NOT worth the price and only look great the first time you use them.

After reading all the reviews on here for the Sparkle Magic laser illuminators, I decided to buy a green one to test it out. It's very bright -- very noticeable from a distance. Looks fantastic. The body of the illuminator is aluminum, and feels solid with well-made parts and connections. I was especially impressed by the thoughtful touches included: a mounting base, which you can use free-standing, or attach to a flat surface using (not included) wood screws. I ended up attaching four to the outside of my deck, one to a fence post, and one to a tree. (Hint: use 1/4" x 2.5" lag screws).The laser lens can be twisted to adjust the pattern of the laser beams -- from largish dots to a scattering of very small dots. I think the smallest dot setting is best to give that "fairy dust" appearance. The package also includes a metal ground stake, a plastic lens cap which allows you to "focus" the beam (it actually just cuts out the "edge" beams, depending on how far you extend it from the laser itself), and both a 120V plug adapter and a 12V low-voltage landscape adapter, with screw-on wire connectors. I have a low-voltage landscape system, so this was perfect. The lights use about 5W apiece, which allows you to run them all night without even thinking about the insignificant power cost. And all for $25!I ended up deciding to get all blue lasers. The blue color, as other reviews have mentioned, is a deeper shade of color that is easily lost among other ambient light sources, such as tree or bush well lights. Cast into a dark tree, however, and it gives a startlingly magical feel, that's subtle and not overpowering. I'm saving the green ones for the holidays; the blue lights are my year-round solution. I've found that the effective range is about 75 feet; beyond that, and the laser dots are too small to see.Now for the bad points:-- I've ordered a total of ten of these, and two of them have been defective. One was about 2/3rds power, and one was barely visible when shone onto my hand in front of the lens. Returning them to Amazon is easy, but it's annoying that quality control isn't catching these outliers before leaving the factory. Additionally, if someone were to get a defective laser (which from my small sample size, is a 1-out-5 chance!), they're going to return it, leave a bad review, and never give Sparkle Magic another thought, which is a darn shame.-- At least seven of these packages have clearly been opened before, though no parts have been missing out of any of them. My guess is that a lot of people are returning the blue lights, because they're not as bright as they were hoping. Again, don't expect to be causing car accidents on your neighborhood street; the blue lights, at least, are excellent at providing a subtle effect.-- The included plastic cap, which serves to "focus" (limit) the beams to a smaller area is made of a translucent white plastic, which at night glows a bright blue. I couldn't think of a single reason why you'd want a bright blue glow at the head of your laser; without the cap on, the laser itself is just one large "dot" of blue, which is much less noticeable. So I spray-painted my caps black, which was quick and easy, but they should have come that way. As a further note, I use the cap on about half of my lasers; the ones that are shining on trees that are 50' to 75' away. Closer than that, and you probably won't need to use the cap at all.I hope this helps answers some questions you might have. Overall, I'm very happy with these. They are well-made, give a truly professional presentation, include a ton of thoughtful mounting and attaching supplies, and are a downright steal at $25. With some better quality control out the door, these would be a no-brainer five stars.

As noted by previous reviewers, this an excellent product! I have purchased many laser lights over the years, primarily for use in Christmas decorations. While the majority were very good, this product is far superior. The laser is extremely bright and can be adjusted for different light patterns which was not possible on other units I purchased. And the housing of the unit is indeed built like a tank. All components of the unit, with the exception of the focusing sleeve on the commercial model, are made of metal. All other units purchased were made of plastic which did not hold up well over the years of use. I expect the Sparkle Magic units to last for many years and to show little wear. I have purchased six green models so far to be used in landscape lighting so I cannot comment on the blue and red units. But I expect to add them to my "inventory" as the holidays approach.This week, while installing a newly arrived unit, I discovered that a component was missing from the flexible stem. I contacted the company via email and received a prompt response stating they were shipping a new stem plus two free accessory items to compensate for the error. All arrived the next day by express mail.Great products and outstanding customer service! You will not be disappointed by purchasing any unit from Sparkle Magic! And did I mention that the trees in my yard look fantastic with these laser lights?
