Works as expected. 5 volts output
I’m powering some 5 volt DC devices from my solar generator which has 12 volt 30 amp DC output. This buck converter is working as expected with the desired 5 volt output. I have 100 watts of power draw going thru it with no issues. It’s not running hot, but I placed it on top off a small computer fan to keep airflow around it as a precaution. Great value and quality.

Worked perfectly for powering strings of LEDs
We used this on a FIRST Robotics Competition robot to power a string of LED lights for diagnostics and decoration. The existing power sources were limited to 2A at 5V so we used this to get up to 10A at 5V. It worked perfectly. I did not measure output volts so I can't comment on others observations about the 5V tolerance. Certainly in this case it was close enough and a great value for the money.

Holds up to the heat
As needed, to handle this extreme heat for a dash cam.

Yellow is NOT 12V
For those of you familiar with PC wiring and the common wire colors associated with it... STOP! Yellow is 5V and Red is 12V. This is backwards from normal PC wire colors.

IS IT POSSIBLE THESE DEVICES ARE MISS LABELED!
I've received 2 of these items. Both showed the same defect, and I'm hoping the 3rd one you are sending me now is different When wired as shown on the device, with input to yellow & black, output to red & black, the output followed the input, with 12v in 12v out - no regulation. I noted that the wiring color code is the opposite of what I'm use to with dc converters, i.e. input R/B, output Y/B, which is also the color code shown and the Amazon page for your 25 w version. Very carefully I attached a variable voltage PS to the so-called output side of this device (R/B) and monitored the so-called input side as I raised the PS voltage. The voltage on the so-called input side of this device stabilized at 5.29v with no load as I approached 12v on the so-called output side. Is it possible that these devices are mislabeled? As it is, I'm afraid to use them and must send them back.

Solid device
I hardwired this into my car to be able to charge my phone directly from a USB wire that I hooked up. So much faster charge than from the cigarette plug!

Massive heat sink - works very well.
This puts out 5.09 volts, so that's close enough. This was bought to drive a 5 volt led strip - and no matter the load I put on it (which was getting the wiring to the LED strip warm) it never seemed to warm. That's pretty good.Depending on your use, you may get it a lot warmer than I did. Considering the size of the heat sink - you'll get the full 10 amp draw and likely more.
